Princess Zelda has decided to keep all of the Twilight aspects of Hyrule's troubles a secret, laying the blame solely at Ganondorf's feet. Conflict arises between Zelda and Link as the secrets, lies, and half-truths he is forced to keep from everyone in his life take their toll. Stress and trauma affect them both, yet healing can't be rushed.
Shad develops a close friendship with Link, and provides him with comfort, assistance, companionship, and more. As Shad begins to fill in the gaps in Link's life left by Midna, they both slowly realize that their feelings for each other go far beyond the bounds of friendship. Can Link risk losing himself to love again so soon?

Another year, another successful takedown of The Demon King. Or, so we thought. Like a phoenix, Ganondorf Dragmire rises again from the ashes, and is really fucking tired of the repeating cycle. He wishes to break the cyclical curse, but this time in a completely unconventional way. His plan?: To combat his loneliness and ire of humanity by procuring himself a partner. However, this task is easier said than done. After all, he did murder hundreds of thousands of Hylians and is a well-known terror, so who would ever willingly court this evil villain?
Link, on the other hand, is beginning to feel this same dèja vú, to a lesser extent. He is quite content after all, always #winning. Zelda, his comrades, and the people of Hyrule all love and respect him by always bringing the villains to their knees. Yet, despite the glory and grandeur that comes with being “The Hero,” deep down he yearns for something new.
Enter Dragmire once more. Like a cat and a mouse, these two destined foes go at each others’s throats. However, instead of outright killing one another, Ganon presents his compromise. How will Link respond to this? Maybe with an insightful “Hah,” “Hyah,” or “Seiyah?” You’ll just have to read and find out.

This was… okay hear me out. The author stated many times throughout and at the end notes that this was very much non canon. Which I somehow still for the first couple chapters was like oh is this directly after totk so the hero is Wild. But you have to treat it like it’s its own universe and hero. And the language was certainly not canon either like in the q and a at the end the author was commenting about another comment how this and that weren’t canon and the author was like neither is Ganon saying bussy, so… that should probably explain the vibes. Other than that the falling in love, Ganons back story, it was all just so heart wrenching in the most beautiful way. Plus I allowed the language because I knew going in from the authors notes and tags that it was mainly comedy. I didn’t read any of the side stories fyi. I want to read more fics like this so I’m stopping at chapter 63
