Rook was welcomed out of the dead expanse of their prison into the warmth of a many-limbed embrace, what was left of their team shouting and laughing in a cacophony of sound that they naturally mirrored. How simple it was to smile and laugh and throw gratitude around like candy.

    It was an easy sell until Lucanis scooped them into a kiss and Rook could not summon the energy to match his passion, leaving their lips cold and dead against his mouth.
