Part one of a trilogy about the Octoboss and his wife, spanning from their first meeting two years before Furiosa was kidnapped to just after the Stowaway attack on the war rig. This first part will be focusing on the politics and dynamics of the Horde, their time in the Northern Territory, and why the twelve tribes that were originally united under Dementus were fewer by the film.
Two years prior to Furiosa's abduction, the Horde is carving its way up to the coast of the Northern Territory, following the rumour of a Place of Abundance. They capture a small gang that once inhabited an offshore oil platform. One of its members, Pavlova, becomes the Octoboss's teacher, and his eventual wife.
