Summary
Months after the Windrixville incident, things are slowly getting back to normal. For some people. Others know how to hold a grudge. (I suck at summaries, fuck around and find out what's in here ya know?)
---
“You’ll regret it. Asshole.” Pony knew it wasn't smart to egg on these Socs, but the gang spent their hard earned money on these shoes and he’d be damned if he let some rich asshole make fun of them.
“Oh will I? Let’s find out then.”
And Randy took the first swing.

Summary
When Johnny Cade was five years old, flame took his hearing. One day, he could hear his mama screaming at his daddy and then the next, he couldn’t hear anything. Not even the glass bottle shattering against his bedroom door.
A ferocious fever takes Johnny's hearing when he's little. With parents who couldn't care less, he lives an even quieter life - that is until a woman and her three sons come flying into it. They bring sunshine and joy and Johnny learns that love doesn't need to be heard to be felt.

Summary
"'Where are Dally and Johnny?' Darry asked. His voice was real serious now, all tiredness forgotten. 'Are they okay?' He strode to the kitchen and dug around in the icebox, grabbing an ice pack that he tossed to Two-Bit.
'They're alright,' Two-Bit said. 'But the cops showed up not long after the fight started and they got arrested. Both of 'em, even though Johnny didn't do nothin', other than try and pull off the guys who were beatin' Dally to a pulp—'
Ponyboy sucked in a breath. 'Johnny got arrested?'"
Or, Ponyboy doesn't go to the drive-in with Dally and Johnny that night. Without him, Dally gets into an altercation with the Socs, setting off a wave of violence and unforeseen consequences that neither Ponyboy nor the rest of Tulsa is prepared for.

Summary
I sat at my desk, staring at the blank page. For a second, I almost wrote two words: The End. That would’ve been it.
My hand shook. I couldn’t bring myself to finish it.
That’s when the idea formed, sharp and clear: I’d give myself twelve days.
I wrote the words at the top of the page: 12 Days.
Beneath it, I drew twelve bullet points, each one waiting for a plan. On each day, I’d do something worth remembering. Something I could hold in my hands before I let go. I’d write down what I did as time went on.
Maybe it was selfish. Maybe it wasn’t. I couldn’t decide. But I liked the idea of leaving something behind. I’d leave memories that weren’t sudden and sharp, but slow and soft, something they could hold onto without wondering if they’d missed their chance.
After all, maybe after 12 days I’d change my mind.
OR:
Ponyboy’s world has been turned upside down. In the wake of loss, he gives himself twelve days to find something worth holding onto— before letting go.

Summary
Sixteen-year-old Ponyboy Curtis has been exploring the cave systems of Kentucky all his life. He's the best cave guide around, and he knows he's about to find the next big tourist attraction.
But when a cave accident traps his foot, half-burying him 60 feet under the ground and 150 feet through a long, impossibly tight passageway, rescue is more than difficult when you've wedged yourself so far down into a cave. Only his brother, Sodapop, and a reporter come to town to report on the incident, Johnny "Skeets" Cade, can reach him.
A nation-wide media explosion ensues, only endangering him further. In a race against time, the Curtis family and their friends are desperate to find a way to save their youngest in time.

Heavily inspired by the true story of Floyd Collins. Takes inspiration from both the musical and the true story. Historical notes at the end of each chapter.

Summary
“I just didn’t think he was your type.” Peter said, leaning on the picnic table Marcia was sitting at. “A platinum blonde all American boy?”
“Yeah.” she smiled sheepishly. He wasn’t wrong. On the rare occasion that she did mention what sort of guy caught her attention, she talked about guys that her mother wouldn’t approve of. Guys with that charm, a bit of a dangerous edge. Like cowboys, or detectives. Not necessarily Vincent Clarke, runner up for boy of the year.

Two-Bit and Marcia go on dates, yet somehow they end up where they started. -

Summary
Paul's face stares at him from the center of the page, his trademark toothy grin caught in a moment of reckless joy. Darry rolls his eyes, what great achievement has he accomplished now?
He glances up to the top of the page to see if this is the sports section or the general news. Maybe he got a scholarship, maybe he won a big game, could be either.
Tulsa World. Obituaries.
Another part of Darry's life is six feet under, but this one comes with its own terrible mix of emotions - anger, grief, guilt, so many others only Pony's books could describe. It feels like every piece of his past, the one where he was happy and free - is burning to the ground. Like death follows him.

Summary
After being drowned and inhaling too much smoke while saving the children in Windrixville, Ponyboy starts to notice how hard it was to breathe. Not wanting to bother the rest of the gang, Ponyboy doesn't mention anything to his friends.
What happens when Ponyboy is rushed to the hospital after passing out at the end of the rumble and his brothers and friends find out about the secret he was keeping?

Summary
Curly Shepard has made it out of Tulsa with his siblings and has made it as a famous rockstar. Ponyboy Curtis just wants a calm family vacation for once but his brother and Steve (read: the most annoying mf in his life) won’t shut up about these no-name kids who became famous rockstars. Safe to say Ponyboy is annoyed with their antics but can’t help to wonder why he and Curly had never crossed paths as children - he could have sworn he used to pal around with a curly headed kid who looks like this rockstar kid.
The two inevitably cross paths and Curly can’t put his finger on why the kid looks so familiar. His past is suddenly meeting his present and memories rush back - a kid who used to watch him play in his garage, a kid who was there when he fell off a telephone pole and broke his arm, a kid with auburn hair and bright green eyes he swore up and down were grey.

Summary
Johnny gets the nerve to sit and stand on shaking legs. Pony’s legs dangle from the side of the fountain, unmoving and still, his converse just brushing the concrete. There is coldness that envelops Johnny’s heart and soul, and he feels his eyes go wide and white.
“What did you do to him?” Johnny asks in a tough, but shaking voice. “What did you do?”
Bob looks at him. He looks at the other Socs. He looks back at Johnny. “He had it coming.”
Johnny feels sick and cold inside. “No, no, you-- he’s fourteen. He’s fourteen!”
The other Socs don’t even stay long enough to hear Bob’s commands do Johnny in, too. They just tear Bob away with blank, pale faces. Bob laughs in a sick, twisted way. Johnny vomits up popcorn and Pepsi and forces his legs to move forward.~

Summary
Just a fic about Johnny and Dally falling in love, taking forever to admit it, then facing the struggles of being two gay men in the 1960s.
This originally wasn't my plan, but in light of recent events and personal events, I'm stepping down from this project and will no longer be continuing it. Although I feel the ending is lackluster, chapter 37 is indeed the final chapter.
