Alastor stops mid-inspection and turns fully toward him.
“This TV guy, Wax. He’s uh,” Lucifer says. “a TV, right?”
Alastor snorted in amusement. “Yes?”
“How likely is the chance he’s broadcasting this whole thing?”
“I say very much.”
Alastor sounds certain, but also a little confused from his question.
“And how sure are you,” Lucifer drops his hand from his forehead and brings it to his mouth, barely hiding the grin spreading across his face, “that he’s broadcasting this to all of Hell?”
The Overlord freezes for half a second. He steps closer, takes Lucifer’s free hand, and presses a deliberate kiss to his knuckles. Being bold, he took a little nibble of the devil’s fingers.
“As sure as the chain you once had on my neck, my King.”
