honestly I just wanted to write a friendship between Finn and Connie (and write Finn commiting)
Anyway-
Finn becomes depressed and kills himself. Connie is the only one who can see ghost Finn. They bond over being ghosts. That's basically the plot.

Finn can't take being ignored by everyone and decides to end it all, which leads to a large series of events surrounding this death.
Connie takes it upon herself to help Finn recover from his silent depression, and also find out what happened to cause this in the first place.

Shrimpo’s answer to anyone who asked was usually something along the lines of ‘I just hate you!’ or ‘You’re the worst!’. And everyone has accepted this. It’s Shrimpo after all, he was the show's bully. But then an incident occurs during a standard ichor run, with the end result being Shrimpo breaking down in actual tears. All the toons…. They were gone. It was a series of dominos, one Toon going down before taking down another. Gardenview was quiet. The place that once held joy for toons and children alike now only served as a reminder for Sprout as to what was missing. Why… Why? Why was Sprout still here? He lacked the capabilities to save what he lost. What could he do?
Left alone in Gardenview, Sprout decided to attempt one last run. His Goal? Get as far as possible before getting caught. However, as he tries to finish the last machine on floor twenty-eight, Sprout gets caught.
Sprout missed his Moon.

The toons of Dandy’s World have found themselves in the backrooms; a strange place of maze like hallways, unsettling liminal spaces, horrible monstrosities, and a seemingly endless amount of levels. They must find their way out of this nightmareish place without getting caught by an entity or succumbing to the mental strains. How long will they be able to survive? How much can they take before it’s too much? How long will they need to wander before they can find the way out? Is there even a way out?
Memento Mori is a Dandy’s World and Backrooms fan fiction/au. Most of the Backrooms levels, entities, and phenomena are from the Backrooms wiki. There are a few aspects that are based on the game Backrooms: Generation Error on Roblox. Since this is an au some things have been changed and are not cannon, such as most level entrances and exits.
This au was written shortly after the Dandy’s World 2025 Halloween update, any toons added after that point will not show up. Additionally, the event toons have not been included because that would’ve been too many characters to keep track of.
This will update every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
