Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

Alex Summers didn't have the best relationship with his family. That was only to be expected, considering his parents couldn't stand mutants, and Alex is about as mutant as they come. The only bright spot had been his brother, Scott, but he had been dead for years. Or so Alex had thought, until the CIA called the X-Men for help with an illegal mutant experimentation lab run by Trask Industries.
A lab that just so happened to be holding an apparently-not-dead Scott Summers.
And now, Alex doesn't care if he has to burn all of Trask Industries to the ground. He's getting his brother back.
(Or: The Summers brothers appear to share the God-given talent of blowing stuff up. People should really begin to take that as a warning not to mess with them.)

Probably one of the best pieces of sci-fi themed fanfic I’ve ever read. The world building is absolutely incredible, (and the Star Trek isms are delightful) the characters feel fully realized and the narrative is so creative??? Been put on pause for a while now, but if author ever decides to continue it I WILL be sat for it. It’s just so good, I’ve tweaked tf out over it many many times. The deaths, and emotional sequences genuinely made me unhappy, and that’s the mark of successful writing, all of the kudos to the author.

engaging and intriguing superhero au that puts a neat spin on the whole “tommy gets adopted by the bois” trope, adding real and convincing stakes. (I appreciate the mha isms.) The power sets and how they affect the world and set character expectations are also really REALLY cool.

His mom loved telling this story to her friends about the time when he was around three, Scott was able to calm down a rabid dog running around the playground. She would have him reach out his hands like he did with the dog and everyone would laugh and pat him on the head, telling him that he would make a great hero someday.

Ranboo is just your average eleven year old living in Sunshine Home for the Wayward and Lost, until his living situation is comprimised and he escapes that wretched place with Aimsey, Lani, and Crumb in tow.
Now with nowhere to go they are cornered in an alleyway by heros, but wait is that dumpster whispering to us?
Somehow Ranboo finds a home at the Hermits bar and trys to live with PTSD as a sixteen year old, while trying to find his husband and coral three other kids from becoming vigilantes.
Did I mention that the Hermits bar is neutral territory Villans and Heros alike?
