Life sucks out on the Terran frontiers, but it pretty much sucks for everyone. Caitlyn works for a resource strip-mining company as a geologist and resource scout, driving long hours for days at a time to investigate blips on the resource scanners. It's a boring and thankless job but it pays the medical bills.
Up until the engine starts overheating on the company buggy and she comes to a slow stop out in the middle of fucking nowhere. Well, at least she's on the other side of the Koprulu Sector from that whole big Zerg mess, right?
