Percy has been seeing the past and the future all his life. When he was seven and about to die, he called out to Apollo for help. Apollo brought his brand new baby prophet to his oldest living son, Lee Fletcher, to care for. From there the events of Percy Jackson and The Olympians unfold, both similar to, but also entirely different from canon.
Characters are slightly different ages than canon, and some have different backgrounds. This is Percy Jackson reinterpreted with found family, far too much future knowledge and way too much involvement from the Fates.

Everyone knows this and Shane has always been pragmatic enough to know that he won't fall for a man, not in this lifetime or any lifetime where hockey exists. That's okay. Shane has made his peace with it. But that also means he will never wish for a child. How would he?
But it's 3am in Montreal and there's a crying baby in a crib at the foot of his bed.
