Summary
Following the events of the Second Wizarding War, Harry decides to enroll in auror training with several friends; however, after a year he realizes that the wizarding world is still too complicated for him and matriculates at the University of Manchester. Although soon, he encounters old rival Draco Malfoy.
This work is a reworking of Someone Old, No One New, as such there are many plot differences. However, overarching story details remain the same. This is partially in Draco Malfoy's POV as well as Harry Potter's. All triggers will be announced at the beginning of a chapter or just before a particularly jarring event.

Summary

James Potter has an unhealthy obsession with Severus Snape. He ruined Severus' life. Took everything away from him. His friends, his Lily, his sanity, it all. He kept Severus isolated and completely alone. Made up rumors and harassed him. Teachers? They don't care. They could care less if their golden boy James Potter played "jokes" on a "low-life", poor, and greasy boy.
James had "no ill intent."
Or at least that's what they tell themselves.
Update (September 3, 2026): I just finished chapter 7 and it'll come next week and holy fuck i cried. I'm sobbing as I write this. Why do I do this to myself.

Summary
Mama died today, or maybe yesterday, Severus didn’t know.
Father had left the previous night and he hasn’t come back yet, Severus doubts he will at all. It was just Severus, and mama laying far too still on the bed now. At first he tried shaking her awake, but it quickly became obvious mama wasn’t getting up anymore.
The patch of dirt behind their house was small and hard and full of rocks. He brought a fork with him from the kitchen, and began to dig. It didn’t work very well, the prongs bent and the dirt barely shifted while his hands started to hurt. Forks are not exactly shovel material – perhaps a spoon would have been better.
By the time the short hand of the clock touched 5, a strangely dressed man appeared, frantically yelling and running into Severus’s house.

In which, Severus gets adopted by his uncle, chaos ensues.

Summary
After the deaths of both his parents, Severus decided to finally end it all. There was nothing for him to fight for, his will to live had long been shattered at the hands of boys and men.
Faith has never been kind to him, not when he had been paired with the very boy he loathes. Even if Lily was also his soulmate, Severus had already ruined whatever chance he had that day by the lake.
Death on the other hand would probably treat him gently, at least, more gently that at the hands of any men that had been in his life.
