Whenever they went somewhere new the first thing he did was run his fingers over every flat surface, walls, tables, chairs, windows. He was tactile and restless and never seemed calm unless he was rubbing, spinning, or twisting something.
Molly knows this about Caleb. So really he has only himself to blame for his current predicament.

Summary
Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak used to be inseparable, but sometimes people change.
On paper, Dean has the ideal life. Nice house, nice family, cheerleader girlfriend, and the new senior status of being quarterback of his high school football team. He seems to have it made. But when his mother’s illness takes a turn for the worse, Dean's picture-perfect life starts to crumble and he soon realizes he has nobody he can turn to except the one person he never thought he’d turn to again.
Castiel lives with his alcoholic aunt at the Pine Hill Trailer Park Community, dealing with wounds that should have long since healed, meanwhile having his own addictions to contend with just to keep his head above water. Though soon he finds himself questioning everything he thought he knew about Dean Winchester, a person he'd long since grown to hate, when it seems that he's just the 'nobody' Dean's been looking for.

His coin purse all but empty, he’s considering a return to his brother’s spare room in Lebanon to regroup. That’s when he happens upon a sleepy village, blighted by drought, where the inhabitants claim to be tormented by a dragon with command over lightning, wind, and rain. Blue-Eyes, they call him.
He isn’t the dragon Dean is hunting, but he’ll do. No dragon can be suffered to live.

Dean blinked, stunned by his own words. “I mean…I didn’t mean –“
Castiel swallowed, closing his eyes against a lance of pain in his chest that had nothing to do with the binding or the sigil. “Yes, you did. And its true, in any case.” Castiel gave him an out, but the words stung. He wasn’t human. Which meant he was – in a hunter’s mind – a creature.
An animal.
Something inside him felt like it was icing over...

Summary
Associating with angels had consequences, Bobby had explained to him. “They ain’t the God-abiding, harp-toting little healers that you’d expect, Dean. They’re…different. They…”
They claim things, Bobby had said, with a shiver. People. They claimed humans and stole them from the camp and whatever happened to them afterwards, no one knew.
After Castiel dies, the portal to the other world opens and obliterates the universe that Sam and Dean know. Bobby takes them in, teaches them how to survive in a world with new rules and new consequences, a world where humans live in camps enclosed by high walls to keep angels out, where angels will do anything and everything to seduce and lure humans away. Why and to where beyond the wall, no one knows.
While Sam struggles to find a way home, a grieving Dean loses all hope.
But then one night, while Dean's guarding the wall, in the middle of a snowy blizzard and under the cover of darkness, an angel with beautiful black wings and a familiar face appears.
His name is Castiel.
And he asks Dean to go with him.
