Summary

“My claim to Camelot’s throne,” Uther threw back, face growing more red as Arthur looked between his parents in utter bewilderment. Merlin didn’t blame him. He had envisioned Uther and Ygraine’s love story to be more… well, less based in war and battles.
Ygraine’s eyes narrowed as she grabbed a goblet of wine and threw it in Uther’s face. A few of the guards shifted, but Uther only raised a hand to pause them, spitting out the wine with furious eyes.
“You,” Ygraine said coldly. “Are unworthy to sit upon a stool, let alone a throne.”
From a few feet away, Balinor scoffed as he sipped from his own goblet. “I kind of like having her as a hostage, Uther. She livens up the place.”

“Hello, little one!” Merlin used the same high-pitched voice that he usually used on babies and kittens. Arthur would never admit that he found it adorable. He lifted his hands to get a closer look at Arthur, who found it strange to be so close to his face. Merlin smiled at him and gently stroked his back with one long finger.
And so the day went by, with Merlin believing the King was off with his knights, and the knights believing he was in the armory with Merlin. No one would notice that their King was missing until dinner time, or even late evening depending on their schedules.

Neuroatypical trainwreck Dean Winchester goes to hell, is saved by an angel, and they fall in love, though it takes a while for them to figure that out. There’s a lot more going on but this is the fourth book in a series.
If you’re short on time, don’t worry. I’ll summarize what you need to know in the first part of this book (if you’ve read Animorphs, it's like that). I recommend reading my prequel ‘November, 2003’, as it’s fun, short, and a great introduction to two of my three main OCs.
Basically in this timeline Dean has a friend named Marcel, a comic book nerd he used to sleep with who’s convinced Dean’s a superhero. I swear to God it makes sense in context. Now they just talk over the phone. Sam had a therapist named Flor but that only works so well for so long when you’re fighting monsters. As she’s one of my premises (see the series title), she’s coming back. Marcel, Flor, and to a lesser extent Adrian influence Dean and Sam, while trying to live their lives on the edge of the gathering storm.
For the first part, until after Cas shows up, these chapters are going to take the form of vignettes that may mention the content of specific episodes in passing but take place between cases.Series
