in a world where magic is scorned upon, tubbo and ranboo have the unfortunate trait of being witches. luckily, they've found themselves a human who thinks it's actually pretty cool, and the three become quick friends. tommy promises to protect them from any magic-fearing losers.
so, when the two are accused of witchcraft, tommy takes all the blame instead. he's headed to be burned at the stake. turns out, when it comes time for the execution, maybe he isn't as powerless and human as he once thought.

Summary
It was surprisingly hard to keep a vigilante presence off the radar.
Somehow, it was when Tommy was using his identity that could literally turn invisible, that he’d been almost immediately clocked by the heroes. He’d really only been just starting to have a presence when the heroes cornered him about it. Surprisingly, instead of attempting arrest, they’d recruited him. And who was he to say no to free access to the hero database and nice bathrooms?
One power per secret identity, that was his rule, and he still had a couple more up his sleeve. The heroes could have one. As a treat. He was generous like that. He’d just take more care to keep his other identities off the radar.
Simple.
If only things worked out as planned. Somehow, it hadn’t taken long for his next vigilante persona to be noticed as well, though not by heroes this time.
“I hear you talk to ghosts.” Said a deadpan voice.--
Tommy can't help wanting to help, and he keeps getting powers so why not have more than one secret identity, yeah? Hero, vigilante, villain, coffee barista, and maybe one other.
Or I read so, so many vigilante fics that I caved in and stuffed all of my ideas into one fic.

“What the fuck?” Purpled murmured, zooming into the picture, and- yeah. That was definitely a frighteningly detailed explosive that only could have come from one teenager who spent too much time looking at nukes. But if that was true, then the arm would have to belong to the one teenager who would let his best friend spend way too long drawing a nuke on his arm.
Tommy.
Which honestly made more sense than Purpled wanted to admit. Tommy was tall, but not too tall, with bright blonde hair, and a penchant for jumping into situations he was unprepared for. Icarus was all of the above, with the added bonus of powder white wings.
But if Tommy was Icarus, then there was no doubt that Framer was Tubbo. The pair was inseparable; even their class schedules were nearly identical. The short frame also matched, as did the unsettlingly optimistic personalities and penchant for blowing things up.

“You brought what??” Ranboo scream-whispered, at the same time Beetle exclaimed, “Fuck yeah, you found it!”
“Well, we’re staging a kidnapping, so I thought we could leave traces of it, as, like, evidence.” Bee shrugged, lifting a small bottle from his belt.
“Who does that?!” Ranboo wrung his hands as Bee put some on a cloth and let it drip-drip off onto the white sheet, staining it a light, almost unnoticeable purple.
“Did’ya know that chloroform actually takes, like, five minutes, not five seconds, to knock someone out?” Beetle remarked, watching Bee do his work.
“Oh. Maybe I shouldn't've brought it, then.” Bee stared at the spot, and shrugged. “Oh well.”

Or, vigilante Tommy and Tubbo rescue Ranboo from the heroes and do some bonding; also, a silly little reveal happens.

Scar always hated the chocolate color of his hair and raven eyes, so he dyes it into chestnut like Impulse’s beautiful locks and applies emerald contact lenses to hide them. Whenever he looks at the mirror, he can’t help but scowl at the horrible reflection. And sometimes, he’s scared of looking at himself for too long or the man with a knife and white rabbit ears might appear again, staring at him with wide and manic eyes that’s out for blood.
Whose? He doesn’t know, but he doesn’t want to find out.
Little did he know, the avian next door is cowering—constantly fearing for his life about the same man in the mirror Scar despised the most, and that they might be more similar than he thought.

"No, no—listen." Scar keeps his voice calm and steady even as Grian's hand digs further into his skull. "Mumbo told me his name willingly. There weren't any hoodwinks, or deceptions, or even online digging. He—We went on a date a couple months ago."
The author never did anything with the romantic tension. Scar might as well pick up the pen.
Or, Scar wakes up in the body of a comic book villain destined to fail. In a clear sign of stupidity, he tries to talk his way out of it.
