As if Optimus was the only hero he’d ever known and the only hero he’d ever need. It sent a twist of trepidation through the leader’s spark. The bot was too young to be in a situation like this and the Prime knew he was the only one who could now protect Bee from the harsh realities closing in so rapidly."
Summary - In war nothing is sacred. Bumblebee learns this early as he and his new guardian Optimus Prime are captured in the heat of battle. Luckily for the sparkling, Bumblebee finds an ally in the most unlikely of places. But will it be enough to keep him and his Prime safe from the looming threat of the decepticons?

If you haven't read R&R (Rabble & Rampallians by Wishing_Stones) then... what are you doing? lol. jk you do what you want. BUT this story picks up at the end of Ch 20 of R&R. So this story won't make a lot of sense if you Haven't read R&R so I definitely recommend you read it before you read this fic.
I wanted to give Ren a Narrative Foil. Ren is the Sword. OC is the Shield. Ren uses Umbrakinesis. OC uses Photokinesis. etc etc etc. HOW Ren gets a Narrative Foil and how having another human spanner in the works should be a fun 'What If' to explore and I'm excited about some of the fun stuff I have planned.

Your phone buzzed with a text message. Keeping the other person on the line, you clicked on the text and read the address.
“Meet me here at your earliest convenience. I have a job you might be interested in.”
After years of service on the field, you had finally finished your contract and had been honorably discharged. You’ve only just settled into civilian life for about a year before you were called by your uncle. Upon hearing an offer that was too tempting to turn down, you soon find yourself flying halfway across the country to Jasper, Nevada.
Aka, the middle of nowhere.
You knew what the job entailed. You just didn't expect to also have to babysit twenty-feet tall robots.

The realization his posture has gone rigid, and you’ve all but tucked your head under his chin rapidly clears the cobwebs, however.
