Diverges right from the first episode
After offering to fix Johnny's Firebird, Daniel also offers him a ride home. One thing leads to another and before Johnny knows it he's got himself a personal chauffeur (although a particularly annoying one).This became a monster. It was supposed to be a short fic where Daniel gives Johnny a ride home and then they make-out, but my brain decided to turn it into a long fic where Johnny has to warm up to his old rival.

Summary
Steve cops a faceful of Upside Down flower pollen in the tunnels, hours after Billy Hargrove tries to punch Steve's brain out the back of his head. Beyond the general hubbub of UD bullshit, Steve thinks he's made it out pretty much unscathed.
Months later, he makes a discovery. Turns out, he's much more intact than he'd thought. As in, his skin is baby smooth. Even the scar on his knee from his ill-advised ‘77 summer of skateboarding has disappeared.
OR: Steve Harrington can take a hit. He can take many hits. In fact, thanks to the Upside Down, there isn't a hit Steve can't take.

The rain poured down in torrents. The windscreen wipers on Edward's car were working overtime, squeaking with each swipe. Doing next to nothing as the deluge obscured Ed's vision of the road.
The day had started very different, bright sunshine barely obscured by clouds. When they set off just before lunch. They had just managed to make it back to Ed's car, before the first fat droplets fell.
Thunder rumbled, rolling across the sky. The loud clap of the lightning bolt minutes later had Kristen shiver with apprehension.
"Everything is going to be fine, nothing to worry about. It's just a little bit of rain".
