Cyclonus choked back a sob, frustrated, coolant leaking from his optics. He didn’t cry, not usually, and certainly not over something as paltry as this. He’d been to funerals without so much as a misty eye, comforted grieving mechs with a calm field and steady hands. Perhaps he’d spent too long dead, that he felt nothing at that sort of loss; people were supposed to die, sooner or later. But a city, a place- nothing prepared you for that sort of all-encompassing loss. Places were supposed to be eternal.

That threat worked wonders. Cyclonus only hesitated for a brief moment before exventing heavily and turning towards him, helm tilted and voice low. “If you must know, it is difficult and uncomfortable to process this much sensory data without onlining my combat protocols.”

very very very epic longfic in which Optimus basically gets a free license to do whatever the fuck he wants and proceeds to get to work fixing society. obviously it's not that simple but it's veryyyy fun to read! Main threads: labor rights, handling the political & religious responsibilities of a Prime, need to fix Primus, D-16 is stuck in a very unsafe working situation in an energon mine and there's definitely a conspiracy going on, also Vos exists and all the Seekers are basically superpowered teenagers. Ch. 139
