Sherlock Holmes’ little sister is a bit less unscathed after the match factory fiasco than he would have hoped. Perhaps a lot less unscathed.
Which is why he covers his blasted bleeding shoulder with barely a grimace and sets to tending her wounds, and those of that boy who is so enamoured with her.
Enola needs him, and Sherlock is determined not to let her down again. He has much to make up for, and bleeding out in front of her would certainly count as letting her down. So, he’s decided he won’t do that.
Unfortunately, his circulatory system has other plans.

Apollo failing at completing his duties allowed Python to reassert his claim over Delphi to begin with. It made sense Apollo would have to clean up his own mess. This was simply another trial he’d have to pass if he wished to be a god again. No one could fault me for not interfering in his struggles – the Fates themselves had decreed that he’d have to be the one to retake Delphi.
If he actually succeeded at doing so, then surely he would have been appropriately humbled by then. The Fates would not allow him to reclaim godhood unless he’d demonstrated sufficient deference towards those above him and a commitment to fulfilling his duties.
This was just another way the Fates had arranged for Apollo to be tested.
---The Council watches the final Trials of Apollo book. Zeus is deep in denial, Artemis is ALSO in denial but for a different reason, and Demeter does not like Lu.

Today was supposed to be like every other day. Except it wasn't. Today, Alfred was finally getting to lay out on his couch instead of having to complete the back breaking work that his boss continues to pile on daily. With this reprieve, he decides that watching a movie and becoming a potato for the night sounds like the best way to spend his free night. Trying to find something to watch, he is reminded that the State of the Union address is happening so he decides to tune in. Not knowing that this would be his last free day in awhile. Man, he really misses the G8 meetings.
