“Is that a wedding ring? Were you married?” the way she said it sounded almost offended, and Levi couldn’t help but snort, halting Falco’s admonishment in its tracks.
“Is that so hard to believe? That someone wanted to marry me?”
Gabi’s eyes widened, finally realising the social faux pas she had merrily launched herself into, and she raised her hands up in front of her, fingers spread.
“Uh, no! Of course not! I mean-” Falco nudged her shoulder, and she fell silent. It took real effort to hold back the huff of laughter tickling the base of his throat.
“No,” he said after a brief, uncomfortable pause, his good eye fixed to the dulled gold. “I wasn’t married. But someone did want to marry me.”
The kids exchanged a very unsubtle look before turning back to him.
“So… why didn’t you marry her?”
Levi scoffed softly.
“I didn’t marry him because he was my Commander.”

What a dilemma.
This second trimester of Mydei’s pregnancy, all Phainon has done is find ways to alleviate Mydeis weird cravings. At least he isn’t getting sent to the Sea of Souls for sea monster again.
Still, it doesn’t help that he’s staring blankly at the cutting board right now, apron on and unsure of where to start.

Bruce hated online meetings for a lot of reasons, one he hated the lag when one spoke, two he did not live alone and his kids would definitely bother him during the meeting. But he was benched for broken ribs and none of his prison breaks worked. So he would be forced to have three meetings online. He hoped it would go well and his kids would leave him alone. But really had there ever been a reality when they do not bother him during meetings.

When Lex Luthor hires the mercenary Deathstroke to eliminate Bruce Wayne, the Justice League makes a drastic decision: Superman must temporarily move into Wayne Manor and act as his bodyguard.
Clark expected to deal with a superficial billionaire. Instead, he discovers a complex man hidden beneath dense layers that are nearly impossible to penetrate. Meanwhile, Bruce is deeply irritated—having Superman living under his roof completely ruins his nightly patrols as Batman.
However, watching Clark go out of his way to care for him and his son Dick causes new feelings to awaken in Bruce (or perhaps makes him realize he had them all along).

Summary
Kaoru Sakurayashiki had never imagined himself with a family. His own parents had been stuffy, with high expectations and strict punishments whenever he didn't meet them. While he was sure he'd make an effort not to turn out like them, one could never be too sure.
There was also the issue of there being nobody worth having a family with. Kaoru entertained the occasional relationship, but most never even reached the point of him calling them his "partner", let alone broaching talks of marriage or family.
The thought of having kids of his own never even really crossed his mind.
That is, until a flock of them made themselves known at S, and suddenly he was offering sage, adult advice, chaperoning trips, and had even earned himself the nickname 'mama', much to his chagrin. And of course, when Kaoru became 'mama', so in turn did Kojiro become 'papa'.
Honorary mama and papa of S become actual parents when Kaoru gets pregnant. The ticking time bomb of a baby on the way forces them to figure their shit out in a timely manner, even if they've done everything out of order.

“Yes,” Mydei confirmed, “That’s the plan. But if something calls me to stay, I will. In a heartbeat,” he met Phainon's gaze, seeming almost hopeful, “Castrum Kremnos can wait. After all, it’s not going anywhere.”
Phainon only half-registered the words.
At the end of the road, Phainon receives news that Mydei is leaving Okhema for good just as a gift from the Trailblazers shows him a glimpse of his future.
It's not as bleak as he thought it'd be.

The question didn’t really catch Wally off guard as much as it should have, but that could have been the late hour and his sluggish head. Dick had taken his engagement ring from the dresser and was turning it over in the midnight mix of warm and cool light from the lamp and the window.
“Huh?” Wally murmured, slow to compute.
Dick pinched the ring between his forefinger and thumb, and peered through it like a telescope. “Why do you want to marry me?” he asked, tilting his head back to spy up at Wally.

The night on Westward Bridge, and the aftermath, from Wally's perspective.
The man on the other end cleared his throat. “Mr. West, this is Captain Chatterjee calling from the GCPD regarding Officer Grayson. You’re listed as his first emergency contact.”
Wally was suddenly very aware of how empty the apartment it was. How still and quiet it sat in the dark, the colours all saturated to soft greys and blues. The snow outside was falling so slowly past the window it almost looked like it was standing still. Wally had always dreaded getting a call like this. From the moment Dick had told him, a lifetime ago, that he was applying to the Police Academy, Wally had imagined what it would be like to get a call from the Gotham City Police Department. They never called with good news - but they didn’t call for deaths. They didn’t call for deaths, they showed up on your door step in dress uniform with their hats in their hands and a nuclear bomb on their tongues.
“... tried calling your land line first, left a voice mail... hello? Mr. West?”
