He scanned over the room, looking for his twin-tailed kit brother.
There was a weird feeling that settled into him when he couldn’t find him.
“Hey, does anyone know where is Tails?” He asked, a bit concerened.
But, all he received as a reply was the silence of everyone and their avoiding gazes
“Uh, is something wrong?” What was going on? Why hadn’t anyone answered him? Chaos, if something actually happened.
“Sonic.” Knuckles, which was obvious he’d be the one, broke the silence.
Sonic immediately darted his eyes to him, to signal that he was listening loud and clear. He better have a good explanation about their poker faces.
“Tails is…” He uncomfortably shifted his gaze to look at Amy instead of Sonic, “ missing” .

Summary
When snow falls in Green Hills, the Wachowskis give Shadow a place to stay, getting him out of Sonic’s old, snow-filled cave. Shadow believes this will only be a temporary arrangement, until he slowly grows closer to his former enemies.
