“We should go on a road trip,” Kris says.
Ralsei blinks. Attempts to contextualize his surroundings: he is on the floor of Kris’s room. Various empty chip bags surround him. Kris is sprawled out at his side on their back. Their phone is balanced against a tissue box and currently playing a movie. Ralsei reaches out to pause it—Thelma and Louise. Right. He…remembers that. Halfway, at least.
Kris says, “oh, did I wake you up? Sorry.”
“No,” Ralsei says, “or, yes, or—I don’t know.” He pauses, swallows. “What were you saying?”
“Me. You. Road trip.” Kris nudges him. “I don’t care where. Just—away. You know? We’re adults. Nobody can stop us!”
Adults. Ralsei sure doesn’t feel it. Not here, in Hometown, where sometimes he has to catch himself, remind himself that yes, he’s safe here. That she won’t find him here. That he’s blocked her number and he has an entirely new one besides. That in four days, it’ll have been four years since he…

The main events begin when Susie enters the classroom and listens to her classmates talk about the classmates talk about the gifts they got, while she gets lost in thought about Noelle Holiday; weirder things happen when Noelle herself starts talking.
When she does, it sets her on quite the adventure, one filled to the brim with every possible emotional state Susie can imagine... along with a few she didn't expect in the slightest.
And those few that she didn't expect, irreversibly change her emotional state, the way she views her life, and her way of thinking, in ways that she didn't even think possible.

Summary
Kris and Ralsei have very peculiar and perhaps the most misunderstood relationship in Deltarune: while Kralsei remains fairy popular within the general audience, mainstream theories regard it as a deeply troubling dynamic that only serves to support the core idea of the game – Kris' inability to choose their destiny. However, I don't exactly support this notion and find the evidence for it lacking to say the least. Moreover, I believe that Kralsei may be crucial for unraveling the plot of Deltarune and developing both Kris and Ralsei as characters independent of any foreign influence.
I will examine common (and not so much) arguments against their shipping, including theories most prevalent in the community, and propose my own explanation of their dynamic and possible romance. After all, Kralsei is much more interesting than common myths lead people to believe, and my hope is for the fandom to realize as much.
