Shamrock knows the future.

(...And if Shamrock and Garling have to systematically dismantle the World Government, assassinate the Five Elders and burn Mary Geoise to the ground just because Luffy decided the Empty Throne would make a really cool fort to play pirates in... well, parenting requires sacrifices.)

In his right arm hung a sleeping child, belly up with lanky limbs swaying gently with each step. He was snoring loudly and obnoxiously, an oversized straw hat hanging from his neck. Littered across his small body were various bandages and bruises. Garp wore a small proud smile as his gaze fell upon him, worry creeping up on the edges. Got himself all tuckered out…

Summary
After being targeted and taken from Dawn, Ace wakes up in an unfamiliar dungeon, thrown into a cell sized for a child. He is determined to escape even before he meets the boy in the cell beside him, the only other prisoner in his vicinity.
Luffy is young, marked by years of starvation and abuse, but he possesses a certain light that still shines despite the awful conditions. Almost immediately, Ace knows that he can’t leave Luffy behind in this despicable place.

Ace can see the realization hit his little brother in real time. It’s the moment the marines caught them back home all over again, but worse, because this time he can see the look on Luffy’s face, the twisted up emotion-

Too bad his plan rested on actually knowing what--or who--they were actually here for.Luffy doesn't like the marines, or the zippy yellow guy, or the stupid Banana-haired old man.
The big guy chained to the wall with tattoos on his face, though, he's pretty cool.And Sabo, well, it's not like he needs that much extra help to go rescue his captured boss, but he's not about to say no to the very helpful stranger with a very obvious axe to grind.

Some say he’s staying with bandits; others have heard him mention the village. Either way, he exists. Has for over 14 years.
Luffy is what they called him. Tremendously strong with a freaky power.
A devil fruit in East Blue… was it a gift from his father?
Regardless, he had to be taken care of. They wouldn’t find him in his home-turf. They have been searching for a few days now. Clearly, the boy knew how to hide. They went towards the mountains now. One of the filths knew the location of these so-called bandits he could be with. The Dadan family was well known on the island. With a bounty of 6.000.000 Berri, Curly Dadan has earned herself a reputation in the area. She was the most likely to willingly hide someone like this Luffy. Likely for some form of compensation from the revolutionary...---

He looks at Ace sidelong. "Is Gold Roger your dad?"
Ace's eyes narrow. No longer curious. "Which moron told you that?"
"Nobody had to tell me; it's obvious. You're just some pirate, right? Why else would they do all of this?"
Ace's fists clench in his lap. The chains shackling his wrists to his ankles overbalance, rattling as they coil between his feet. The marines who'd arrested him had let him keep his shoes. They seem to have let him keep everything: log pose, belt, necklace. They want to kill him at the height of his dignity. The effect is lessened somewhat by the heavy seastone handcuffs; the poor guy doesn't stand a chance. There isn't any pride to be taken in an execution, when your enemy is already beaten.
And there's something about the way that Ace is holding himself, breathing so deeply, looking back at Luffy so evenly, that tells him that Ace is beaten.

A week later Megumi is sitting in a clinically white and sleekly modern office building in the heart of Tokyo. Jennifer is at his feet, alert, her leash held loosely in Megumi’s grasp. Yuji is sitting on his right, leg bouncing and clad in his “nicest pair of joggers”. He has Megumi’s other hand nearly crushed in his grip. The dog is alert, Yuji is a ball of nerves.

He woke up inside a glass coffin, decorated with red camillia and inside an extravagant shrine. As it turns out, a lot can happen in ten years.
For example, his high school crush could overthrow the government and declare himself the new emperor of Japan, with the intention to rid the nation of non-sorcerers. The guy who almost killed him could become a rebel leader against him.
And Satoru? He could end up stuck in the madness in-between.
