“I can’t orgasm anymore, Jean-Luc!” she blurted out before she could stop herself, unable to listen to him ramble on with his brilliant ideas of stress relief. Then, the room went painfully quiet as they both mulled over the huge mistake they had made. However, she found herself itching to provide more context given the randomness of her statement. “That is my stress relief,” she confessed, sounding pitifully defeated. “And ever since… ever since I left Caldos, I have tried… almost everything,”
She wasn’t just pent up from stress, she had been practically edged for over a week. ‘Frustrated’ hardly covered the way she felt.
After the events on Caldos, Beverly realizes her usual source of stress relief no longer works. Unable to stand seeing her so stressed out, Jean-Luc offers to help her find the solution.

"What do you want?" She asked, blunt, just like the admiral when she had casually informed her of Chakotay's mid-life crisis of a relationship with Seven.
