unfinished, 17ch, I hope it updates, but its been a while, water tribe zuko, this is book two, azula is hunting down her baby-napped big brother, iroh and lu ten are repenting for the war, and asking help of the Avatar, we just got toph, and azula just shot Katara with lightning, it's a big divergence from the show, but follows it more faithfully than most other WT zuko fics, im really impressed with how they straddle that line, the characterizations are the main focus, instead of the divergences, and the story feels all the richer for it, it's so smooth

unfinished, 19ch, the siege on ba sing se works, to secure an alliance with the water tribes zuko is married to hakoda, who promptly goes "this is a child" and treats him like a son, azulon dies, lu ten becomes fire lord, ozai is working behind his back to reinstate war, zuko is traveling with his uncle (bc everyone is trying to undo the peace treaty with the water tribes), and azula is hunting aang, messy af, but the characterizations and interactions are so well written, and interesting, unlikely to update, but I hope it does, I hope the Avatar will return

OR: After Zhao’s failed siege, Zuko and Iroh are captured. A few weeks later, Ozai receives a ransom from the Northern Water Tribe signed in Zuko’s blood. Unfortunately for the Firelord, Zuko’s safety is all Azula cares about.
OR: Unfortunately for Sokka, that means the Gaang has not one, but two unstable, broken fire siblings to deal with. Y’know. Once they break Zuko out of prison. Because this is not a situation that calls for torture (probably. HE'S still on the fence about it, screw Aang and Katara and their stupid morals and how much he agrees with them)

At first glance Thomas was sure the victim was already long gone, just a burned, mangled husk attached to tubes and wires. But he was shocked to see that the heart monitor was slowly beeping. “What happened?” Thomas immediately questioned. “There was an explosion in an abandoned building around Park Row. He was found in the rubble. He was resuscitated on the scene and coded once in the ambulance. Aside from severe burns, broken bones and trauma the worst injury seems to be a wound at his throat caused by a sharp object.” They rattled off more information as Thomas quickly prepped for surgery. Every second was going to have to count to save this one.

What do you even say to a penpal? ‘Hi, the weather here was great, the weather report warns the town if my dad is expected on the road and my Calc test got rescheduled because the Lunch Lady didn’t like the new dessert options’?
Turns out, just that. Because Danny gets back ‘That sucks, dude. It rained here, my foster brother got kidnapped again and he’s sad. Lunch Lady and Condiment King should never meet. I think I still smell like relish from his attack last week’.
