Summary
Ash falls to the floor, barely catching himself. Minute steps aside, allowing Spoke to hammer a boot into Ash’s stomach. He wheezes at that, and before he can recover, Spoke picks him up by the shoulders and shoves into the bookcase behind him. Several books fall down, some hitting Ash’s head. He hisses from pain, but when he looks up at Spoke, there’s a smile on his face. “Didn’t take you for a sadistic type.”
Spoke raises his sword. “You’re just getting what you deserve,” he promises, and then—
Before he can bring the blade down, there’s a sound of breaking blocks above him, and something—someone—falls straight on him. They do barely any damage, but they startle him enough to make him stumble back and allow them to insert themself between Spoke and Ash. They crouch on the floor, covering Ash with their body, and point a loaded crossbow at Spoke.
Their hands shake.
During the final confrontation with Ash, Spoke decides to kill him. He meets unexpected resistance.

Tanjirou had been at least somewhat smug (and sort of guilty) that no one gave the president a second glance, because that meant Zenitsu could potentially become easier to cherish (well, if Tanjirou "grew a pair of balls" as Nezuko kept putting it), but today was not the case.
People stared with half-open mouths and pink faces as the student council president walked down the hallway. He didn't seem to notice anyone staring, he was just frowning down at his clipboard and muttering under his breath, but Tanjirou was just as enraptured as everyone else.
As Zenitsu walked, his skirt swayed side to side, the ruffled edges sweeping close above his stockings and only revealing small slivers of his pale thighs at a time before flicking to the other side. His hair was bobbing in time with his steps and hips, and every once in a while the tips of his ponytail would flirt with one of his legs, brushing against them gently before moving aside.
Tanjirou stared and he wanted.

Zuko lay sprawled across his bed, pale skin flushed pink under the dim bedside his lamp.
His lean body was twisted slightly, one leg hooked higher than the other, two fingers buried deep inside his own ass. The oil made everything slick and shiny as he pumped them in and out in slow, steady strokes.

He was caught on one word that Sokka had said. Engaged. His mind latched onto that, and conjured up images of rings and a wedding. Marriage.
Sokka kept talking, but Zuko couldn’t hear him over the blood roaring in his ears. If he had been engaged to marry an American citizen, he wouldn’t have to go back to Japan and wait to refile for another work visa. He could stay here, and never have to see his father again.
Zuko’s gaze roamed over Sokka. He wasn’t married, or seeing anyone, Zuko knew that. Sokka always complained about being single, and the one time he had gone on a date in their past several years of working together, Sokka hadn’t shut up about it for a week. Zuko would know if Sokka was currently seeing anyone, and he wasn’t.
