Vox had immediately gotten the new transmitter installed as soon as he finished with the specialists, and is just settling in to start sending out emails when Alastor contacts him. He chuckles softly at first with a content smile, but then confusion hits.
{Back at the Tower already? I figured you'd spend most of the day at home. Miss me, huh?}
{Actually, we’re at the market. Charlie was very insistent that I make jambalaya for dinner,} the radio demon transmits casually. {Don’t worry, picture box, I’ll still be back in time for our dinner, and won’t ruin my appetite.}
{Even if you don't eat much at dinner, I hope you'll still have an appetite afterwards...} Vox purrs back over the connection, his eyebrows wiggling even though the deer can't see them.
{WAIT WHAT?? The market???}

Summary
“I’ll sort things out later, I’m sure it’ll be light work by tomorrow.” There was a joy in decorating a new space, and Alastor had to admit that he enjoyed the larger space compared to the room he had in the old hotel. The personal kitchenette was a wonderful addition. “Groceries sound like a perfectly necessary task,” —and one he wouldn’t need to use too much power on today as he recovers— “However, there is an unfortunate caveat…” he says with an amused grin and a cheeky tilt of his head.
“I’m supposed to be dead, remember?”
Charlie's shoulders slump for a moment. "Oh, right..." She says with a sigh, but an idea occurs to her, and she looks up with delight. "Oh! Oh! I have been practicing something!" She says, standing up and bouncing on her heels again. "Wanna see?!"

"BAMBI?! What happened?! Are you okay?? Al? Can you hear me??" The media demon pleads into the phone, nearly hysterical by this point.
Alastor is glad he held up the phone the way humans did on impulse, because if he had held it up to his actual ear, the media overlord’s yelling would surely be far too loud.
“I’m fine. What part of ‘don’t come over till I say’ made you think calling was acceptable?” he chastises.
Vox clings to his phone and practically sobs at hearing Alastor's voice. "Can- can I come over now?" He begs into the phone, too distraught to offer apologies or explanations.
…“...fine.”

On his way into the bathroom, his hand touched something sticky on the handle, and it took nearly all of Husk’s self-control not to start shouting. He’d spent so much time in the company of more-or-less rational adults that he had forgotten that being anywhere remotely in the vicinity of children meant that there was always the chance that something sticky would come in contact with his fur (and never the fun kind of sticky, either).
“Fuck,” he hissed and stomped over to the sink. Dumped a copious amount of liquid soap over his hands before starting to scrub his hands with a deepening frown. “Come to an arcade with us, Husk. It’ll be fun, Husk.” He passed his hands under the running water for a moment before resuming his scrubbing. “Aren’t I just fucking adorable, even when I have the worst fucking ideas, Husk? Fucking… hideous ideas.”
“Aw, Husk. Do you think I’m adorable?”

Summary
Many people thought Alastor never got aroused. In a way that was true, as he didn’t respond like most people. However, watching things collapse and fall apart after so much work had gone into it, was especially arousing for the Radio demon. Watching how desperate and pleading people got in the hopes of fixing their mistakes. Begging and groveling in the misguided belief that things could be set straight. The look in someone’s eyes when they are crushed by the realization that everything was slipping away from them. The fucking stock market crash of 1929!
Alastor, despite all of his boundaries in the bedroom had a thriving sex life. Perhaps not in the sense that others had, but his partner was never left unsatisfied. His partner was so satisfied in fact that despite their differences and an unexplained seven year absence on Alastor’s part they had a running monthly meetup so they could entertain one another.
