Summary
Seven days before Alice Mercer is found unconscious on the beach, Tom Miller asks Alec Hardy how tall he is.
Then how many women he's slept with.
Then how much money he makes.
Hardy decides teenagers are strange and forgets about it.A week later, a missing phone and a group chat give Hardy and Miller rather more context than either of them wanted.
Some things are easy to count.
Wanting isn't one of them.Bookmarked by Squonklet

Summary
Suddenly he wants to tease her—wants, more than that, to do best musical, worst musical. Wants to pick her brain about Hadestown and ask if she’s ever seen The Lion King live and whether she actually likes Rodgers and Hammerstein or if she just pretends to for the sake of propriety. He wants to know everything she knows, not simply because he thinks they have a secret, shared interest all of a sudden, but because he thinks maybe, maybe he can use it as an excuse. A way to talk to her without having to talk to her until they’re both ready.
Until he’s ready.

Summary
'Keeley furrows her brow, reopening the lid of the envelope from where it’s been tucked in to keep whatever’s inside safe.
Inside isn’t an official application, it’s a letter. It reads:
'Dear Person in charge of Bake Off,
I’m applying for a place in the tent on behalf of my dad, his name’s Ted.'
or, the bake off au that absolutely no one asked for.

Got recommended this without being entirely sure I’d enjoy it given the nature of Kilgrave as a character but HOLY SHIT I was glued to the screen the whole time.
The OCs are incredible, the plot is glorious.

Summary
A famous pianist is found in a burned-out car at a local beauty spot, an apparent victim of suicide. Assigned to work the case together, Hardy and Miller must make sense of her death while working through (and around) the tangle of their own changing relationship.
An 8 episode (16 part) Broadchurch S4 case-fic, that follows directly on from my standalone Ellie-centric prologue 'Not Half Fucking Bad', so maybe read that first!
