He wishes he was there, suddenly, wishes he was by Johnny’s side as he walked through the doorway and realised that his childhood room was waiting for him like a time capsule. Wishes he got to see the embarrassed scrunch of his face, the way the tips of his ears would flush red.
Soap has a whole second life, outside of the SAS. He’s got a mother, and a poorly-decorated bedroom, and a bear. All Ghost has is a flat that will be the same it is today as it will be the day he dies, like he was never even here at all.

Side effects from the brain injury have caused Soap to struggle with daily life sometimes, but Ghost is devoted to helping him through it while hiding the reality of their true relationship. As they grow closer, Ghost's love is steadfast and pure and with his consistent kindness and support, Soap can't help but begin to wonder what Ghost's hands would feel like on his body or the softness of his lips pressed against his.

“So... you’re a transfer student?” Jayce ventures, trying to fill the silence.
Viktor shakes his head. “Exchange student. From The Czech Republic. I was in a dorm, but the elevator is broken more than it works. Housing made arrangements.” He sets his suitcase down and adjusts his cane, his movements precise but clearly strained.
“Right,” Jayce says, feeling a flicker of guilt for his earlier irritation. “Well, uh, welcome, I guess. Your room’s down the hall on the left.”
Viktor doesn’t respond, already moving toward the hallway without waiting for further instructions. Jayce watches him disappear into the room, the door clicking shut behind him.
He flops back onto the couch, grabbing his phone to text Caitlyn again:
Jayce: He hates me already.
Caitlyn: Don’t so be dramatic. Give it time. Maybe bake him cookies or something.
Jayce: He doesn’t seem like a cookie guy. More like... brooding and vaguely annoyed at my existence.
Caitlyn: Perfect. You’re great at brooding and vaguely annoying. 😘

So, he focuses on his photography. Builds his portfolio. Flirts and acts like an all around normal person. But he's not normal. He doesn't think so, at least.
It's night when a voice twists in his mind and makes him stop in his tracks. A press of want to get into this stranger's van. A desire to learn and work this new ability he has access to.
And a desire to tear down a place that only serves to hurt the truly strange and unique.
