Summary
“Murder is one thing,” said Stede. “Who around here hasn’t done a bit of murder, now and then? But methodically entombing someone under the floor is just being a touch extra about it, don’t you think?”
“Exactly! There’s a perfectly good ocean right there for dumping bodies in! Nature’s corpse disposal service!”
“Just think of all the fish he might have fed!”
(In which Ed and Stede's prospective inn may or may not be cursed and/or haunted, but it's definitely cockblocking them.)

“I wasn’t aware that Starfleet banned bad jokes. How shockingly sensible of them, if a little out-of-character. They should consider extending the ban to officer interactions with poor, unsuspecting civilians.”

Summary
"You’re saying that Dr. Bashir regularly fraternizes with a Cardassian exile?”
“I was under the impression that promoting interspecies cooperation was one of Starfleet’s primary goals.”
“And you’re missing the point,” snapped Zimmerman. “Dr. Bashir has regular contact with a Cardassian exile and didn’t think this information was relevant to share with the project.”

“Why he?” asked Kira curiously. “How can you tell, if you can’t talk to him?”
“Oh. I don’t know.” Odo frowned. “I didn’t really give it much thought.”
“Maybe you should.”
(Note: This can theoretically be read as a standalone, but probably works better if you've read one of the earlier works in this series, particularly "This Be the Verse.")

"This Be The Verse" Verse by Vermin_Acolyte (Vermin_Disciple), Vermin_Disciple
Fandom Star Trek, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: The Next Generation
08 Dec 2023
Summary
They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.
-Philip Larkin, This Be The VerseOr, Vermin’s insane Babies Ever After Kidfic AU Extravaganza, which is not quite as cynical as the poem it’s named for.
The primary points of AU canon divergence here are that the baby Changeling from “The Begotten” (S5E12) survived, Jadzia was not killed in "Tears of the Prophets" (S6E26), Bashir and Garak managed to resolve all those years of UST sometime in the later seasons, and all this resulted in (nearly) everyone’s canon endings getting scrambled.

Aqua Love Notes Waterproof Notepad by Vermin_Disciple
Fandom Star Trek, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
03 Jul 2023
Summary
So, this started when I bought a waterproof notepad to stick on my shower wall, in order to jot down those sudden flashes of inspiration that are wont to strike when you are nowhere near a writing implement. My mother, who is a frequent houseguest, couldn't resist the urge to decorate it with DS9 related graffiti. I responded with DS9 fic, and a new and questionable mother-daughter tradition was born.
Note that there is no continuity in this series. They're all just one-shots united by the medium of shower notepad. Mom writes the prompts, I write the fic.

Summary
Or, the misadventures of Crowley and Aziraphale IN SPACE.
I've decided to put these in order by Star Trek chronology, rather than the order they were written in. If you prefer it the other way, it would look like this:
1. False Friends and False Prophets
2. Do Aliens Go to Heaven?
3. To Seek Out New Life and New Fermentations

Summary
Murderbot must infiltrate a company facility to obtain spare parts. Along the way it grapples with the terrifying responsibility of caring - for itself, for Three, and for company-owned constructs who may not be willing or able to accept change.
Sayatsugu has provided outstanding art to accompany this fic, which you can see in Chapter 4. Check out her Tumblr, too:

The pings were all from Overse’s interface and routed from a transit ring called Trans-All, the kind of ping that was just are you in range – are you in range – are you in range. It was a call for help and it fucking terrified me, because I was answering it way, way too late.

ART?
SecUnit. Stand and return casualties to the shuttle.
It sends me a map of directions, marking the bodies around its corridors.
ART, say something. Call me an idiot, please.
SecUnit. Apply a 5% correction.
This can’t be happening. I shouldn’t have done this, we should have fought to the death instead. I’ve made a terrible mistake.
They installed a governor module on it.

On a routine cargo run, Barish-Estranza captures and installs a governor module on ART. Can Murderbot find a way to save ART and itself?

Summary
I come back from the dead.
Something happened. Something happened just now— I came back from the dead, yes, I know, I'm not talking about this, something before that— beyond, even, there was a recognition, a realization, somehow much more important than the hostiles I am currently grinding to dust on my deck, more important, even, than SecUnit's humans with their raised hands and SecUnit with its raised voice and myself, raised from my grave. What was it?
"What's going on?" I ask futilely, my voice distorting through the speakers. SecUnit's humans jump, startled. "What the fuck is going on—"
