“Hey, you good?” He asks, Lo’ak closes his eyes and tries to calm down his thundering heart once again. He then opens his eyes and stares at the lake in front of him.
“Did you do something? Want me to take cover?” At those words, he starts to tremble. Neteyam always took cover for him, even if he didn’t ask. It pains him that his dreams are so accurate with reality.
Silence falls between them again. Lo’ak feels so bad that he’s not talking but it’s like his mouth is clamped shut. Words aren’t coming to him at all.
Then—
“Oh, I get it.” He doesn’t think his brother understands. Now the fish are swimming away, far, far away like something dangerous has entered their waters. It makes his frown deepen.
“Do you blame yourself?”
Those words make him freeze.
“What?” Is the only word that leaves his mouth, quiet in shock.

“You look awful,” he murmured, brushing a hand through Remus’ hair with careful fingers. The motion was gentle, reverent, like he was afraid of hurting him, or maybe like he knew exactly how much he already hurt.
Remus let his eyes close for a second, lashes fluttering at the touch. Everything was too warm, the fire, the blankets, Sirius’ skin; but he leaned into it anyway, chasing the comfort.

However, Mori isn't about to let the organization crumble over rumors in the dark and other, lesser schemes to overthrow him.
It was supposed to be temporary. Chuuya was supposed to be a brief example, a brief demonstration of the mafia's ironclad control. It would cement his own loyalty in the mind of his subordinates, after all. All things considered, it was a decent plan.
At least until fury and betrayal were churning uselessly in his stomach as he screamed in the darkness, beyond the reach of anyone who would care enough to listen.

It’s ironic, he thinks, how bright his father burns. How his presence commands an entire room. How much of his life is occupied by him. Endeavor’s fire burns through them all, in flames, in anger, in the hurt they bring. He’s the reason Touya died, the reason his mother is locked up in a hospital and the reason Natsuo and Fuyumi could never have a proper family.
Shouto’s imagined his own undoing so many times. He often wonders, as Endeavor’s creation, if he’ll go up in flames, a spectacle for all to see, or if he’ll fizzle out in silence until there’s nothing left but ash. A masterpiece falling from grace. Sometimes he even wonders if one day he’ll burn himself up like Touya had. He imagines Endeavor’s reaction, as he once again conceals a dead Todoroki and continues to live without guilt for the children he destroyed.
In the end, his unravelling begins with a single drop of blood.
Alternatively: after moving into the dorms and finally learning how to relax, the years of abuse Shouto suffered at the hands of Endeavor finally start to catch up to him and he finds himself not knowing how to handle it.

But traumatic brain injuries are no joke, and the painful, prolonged ordeal that follows not only uncovers a side of Megumi that he normally keeps under stoic wraps, but of Gojo Satoru as well — as his devoted mentor tenderly and patiently cares for his star student on the road to recovery.
