This was written for those who put the ‘Enemies to Lovers’ trope in S Tier. Red oni / Blue oni. Oil and Water.
Just a warning that there’s mild mood and meta(?) spoilers below if someone happens to read these scribbles.
I love how it borrows themes from the show and incorporates them into the AU.
I love how the deepening emotional bond happens gradually and how (just like the show) they just keep choosing each other and how (just like season 1) they just consistently keep spending time together.
I love how it builds on the theme that it’s really Caitlyn that pushes their connection forward and Vi is less so the initiator in keeping their relationship going.
I love that it is immersive in Vi’s POV and it’s done so well.
I love that it’s easier/faster to see how Vi ‘chooses’ Caitlyn but not as easy (yet, not initially) to see why Caitlyn keeps ‘choosing’ Vi - this is on tempo with the show’s approach too!
Very well done AU. I can’t wait to keep reading!
