Summary
There was a new circus in the town plaza. You dug your face into the scratchy throw pillow and sighed. They were constantly handing out flyers and borderline harassing people. It was getting on everyone's nerves. Including yours. You would bet the circus employees hated it as much as the rest of you do, so why they chose to go along with it, you failed to understand. Money be damned, you would have quit.
You slumped deeper into the couch. People didn't say exclusively bad things, and, hell, those who attended the circus usually raved about it. Perhaps you were slightly interested.

“I think I keep having audible hallucinations of Nightmare.” You complained to Dream, worried that somehow Nightmare would be able to hurt you, even in the OmegaTimeline. “They’re a bit hazy, but I’m pretty positive it’s him.”
“I’m sorry, I don't really know what to do.” Dream told you, watching as you walked into your bedroom to go to sleep. “Maybe we can talk about this in the morning. For now, just try to get some sleep.”
With your hand holding onto the doorknob, you nodded and said goodnight to Dream, closing the door after he walked away down the hall to his room.
You took a deep breath to calm yourself and turned around, looking at your peaceful, quiet bedroom.
“Sweetheart,” A low, smooth, familiar voice whispered in your ear, his breath hot against your neck. “You really think of me that much?”
You flinched, quickly smacking your hand against your neck where you felt the warm breath rumble. When you turned around, you were met with nothing but your door. You were alone in your room.
Was that Nightmare again?
