Just before he could finally leave the Vollachian Empire and return to Lugunica, Natsuki Subaru finds himself faced with a certain phenomenon. This time however, he's not on his own, as he soon comes to realize.
A reverse isekai fic diverging from the canon at the beginning of Arc 9. My first fic! After catching up with the Web Novel and reading numerous Re:Zero fan works, I've realized how much I enjoy reading about the characters and their interactions. Hence, here's my own take on a setting I've greatly enjoyed reading.
This will be a slow-build and slow-burn fic, with a primary focus on character interactions and their relationships. I'd hope that my style of writing will invoke feelings similar to reading the WN in terms of character presentation and dialogue/internal monologue being the focal points. I'm writing the characters how I've enjoyed reading about them in the WN, so I'm aiming to be highly faithful to their anime/WN (I know WN technically isn't canon) counterparts.
Fluff/slice-of-life for the most part, but it's still a Re:Zero fan work: expect angst, trauma, and more. But don't worry, as catharsis after all the suffering is guaranteed! There's a plot, too.

In retrospect, Grace should not have introduced Rocky to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
In his defense, a show about magical ponies was a shockingly comprehensive tool to teach aliens about human culture and relationships.
Rocky established Project: Magical Space Cure–behind Grace’s back, mind you–soon after that. Rocky thought he was clever.
So, here Grace was after two blissful years on Erid, watching Pluto pass through the Hail Mary's window as the side of his neck itched more and more.
