Varian takes his hand, heart racing at the boy’s firm grip. “Varian,” he replies, softly.
“Varian,” Hugo says, grin widening.
There’s something in that smile that makes Varian’s breath catch. Something dangerous and wild that Varian’s only ever seen in crafty criminals and Eugene when he’s planning something crazy. It reminds Varian of that smell just before a match is lit.
Or the heat in the air before lightning strikes.
Varian sets out to find a lost library, the mystery behind his mother's disappearance and the reason why he's never fit in Corona. He never expects to be adopted by pyromaniac orphan, a princess of prophecy, and a thief with a heart of gold, but nothing ever turns out the way Varian expects.

Summary
It was cold. Freezing really, the kind of cold that soaked through your clothes and your skin, seeping into your bones and freezing them solid. Hugo hated it with every chilled fiber of his being, he wanted out of it. Through the clouds of snow that blowed into his face he could faintly see a small orange light. Please god let that be fire.
Evidently, it was a village. An abandoned, torn down village with large black spikes invading every bit of the surrounding area. Frightening...but not really his problem. He pulled himself away from staring at the spectacle back to the source of the orange glow. Maybe they left in a hurry and there was still a fire going, he had to get to it before he froze to death.
When Hugo shoved open the door, he was not met with a roaring fire in a stone fireplace. He was met with a block of ominously glowing amber, a man trapped inside, and a boy crouched down, sobbing in front of it.
The more polished version of a previous rewrite where Hugo joins post-QFAD, this time with a few changes. (that being, uh oh I did another season 2 rewrite sis better stop me)

Summary
Varian must pay for the crimes he's commited - sure, jail was expected, but this? This is just cruel.
Hugo still has to squirm his way onto Donella's good side, and secure it there - even if that means taking the lame, boring jobs that are only there for the information.
*This takes place during season 2, starts in the imaginary week before Rapunzel leaves for her trip*

Summary
The attack on the Northern Water Tribe goes differently, Aang and the ocean spirit don’t destroy the entire Fire Nation fleet, only most of them.
Zhao escapes, taking Sokka and a few other Water Tribe men as prisoners. Knowing Sokka is traveling with the Avatar he gets sent to Zhao’s “special prison camp” that is hidden near the Earth Kingdom colonies.
Sokka gets a taste of the real war, not the war that he thinks he knows from traveling with the Avatar. While Zhao’s prisoner, he struggles to survive the inhuman conditions. Alone and thought to be dead, he feels himself slowly losing hope.
Seeing a familiar face brings back his hope, even if that face is the scarred Prince of the Fire Nation.
Sokka and Zuko come together to survive and end up depending on each other for a lot more than they ever thought possible.

Zuko, recalling the fire that had burned in Azula’s sunlit gaze the day she’d caught up to him, chose not to respond.

Zuko winces. “Ah. ” His mind is shattered glass, all the pieces catching and throwing different beams of light.
“Yes, Prince Zuko?”
Zuko pulls his face into a blank mask and holds the pain deep in his core. “It’s nothing,” he says, willing that his voice doesn’t shake. “I’m having difficulties remembering what led up to this.”
The officer frowns. “You don’t remember? The Avatar attacked us."

Summary
Hey all this is a more mature retelling of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. It will explore who the kids were prior to their arrival at the camp, expand upon their stay and relationship developments before the Indominus's escape, and will continue their story after the events of season one.
It should be noted that "more mature" does not mean "contains lots of sex" it means that this story will touch on more complex topics such as complicated family lives, the kids various personality traits and flaws, the trauma of witnessing so many deaths, the struggle for survival on the island, and various forms of loss (loss of a loved ones, loss of friendship, loss of one's sense of self are just some examples).
This author is also and quite proudly the T, I, A, and double + in LGBTQIA+ and like it or not I'm writing some representation into the characters of Camp Cretaceous as I see fits them as they are in the show. If you don't like it that was your heads-up and you can go read some of the other fine works on this site, have a good one.

Piandao’s voice breaks his focus from his memories. “Is that a problem?”

Piandao frowns. “Zuko Sugita. He’s their usual partner. I thought you knew this?”

After a last-minute work reassignment requires Sokka to spend his summer in a cramped van with Zuko, he finds himself questioning whether or not he can survive it. He unexpectedly finds a tedious friendship in the other man, and as they navigate storm patterns together, Sokka becomes increasingly aware of the tender storm of emotions in his heart. Wow. Even when the world was ending, Sokka had still found a way to be super fucking gay. Maybe he should win a trophy or something for this shit. Were his standards slipping because he hadn’t actually seen another human being in ages, or was the dude actually really, really good-looking? Unconscious, but still cute.The world had ended. Well, it was supposed to. The city was only a reminder of the struggle that had taken place between zombies and humankind. A city’s worth of panicking people shoving and screaming and running, trying to avoid either getting crushed by desperate drivers or getting mauled by a horde of zombies—it didn’t get much scarier than that.
There are many ways to survive the end of the world, but what comes after? What is there for a survivor? What keeps someone living when the whole world is wasting away? What keeps them fighting for something more than survival, fighting to live?

Summary

[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]

An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.
