Summary
The power fluctuated, lights going out. Phil was lying on the floor, staring at the ceiling, but his eyes might as well have been closed. The darkness was so complete it was like it clasped its fingers in his, breathed through his throat-- and then, slowly, he became aware of a shift on the other side of the glass. Faint, distant movement. A soft pulse of light, pinkish-red mingled with off-white, gentle bioluminescent flickers in the engulfing blackness. Fear twisted so far around that it turned to wonder.
He thought the lights were multiple creatures close together, at first. Then the emergency lights hummed back on, and the lights on the other side suddenly resolved into a being, a huge one with a long snaking tail and brightness down its side and shoulders and flowing hair and was that a goddamn fucking mer--
The mer reeled back and disappeared into the gloom. Phil stared after it and said blankly, forgetting it was only a plush crow listening: "What the actual fuck."

Tanguish is Tango's hels, and they get along a lot better than most hels and their hermits should. Unfortunately, the universe wasn't made to house both of them. Helsmets were made to return to their hermits eventually, making a complete person.
Except what happens when the hels is the stronger of the two? What happens if they really don't want to be?[This fic started as a handful of one-shots on Tumblr and has slowly snowballed into something bigger. Summary
A scientist hurried past his cage in a rush, and Grian tensed, drawing his leathery wings up around himself protectively. They didn’t seem focused on him in the slightest, but one could never be sure with these people. They could be preparing some new method of torture for him, some new experiment that he would have to endure. Or at least, that’s what he thought, all the way up until they brought in the angel.
Grian knew immediately that the person they were dragging through the doors was an angel. Even if they didn’t have their large feathery wings out, even if they didn’t have a dull halo encircling their head, he would have still recognized them for what they were. There was an energy to them, a power of pure good radiating off of them that made him feel almost sick to his stomach. Or maybe it was the smell of their built up emotions, slamming against the walls of their semi-mortal body, begging to be given away.

Then, all of a sudden, he was awake again. He heaved air into his lungs, a sense of relief washing over him as he realised he was alive, he was okay, he had another chance. He had another chance to save Tango, to save himself, to save the Hermits.
His communicator pinged. He was right back at the start. He could do this.

Summary
Months after the Prentiss attack, Martin Blackwood is having a bad day.
Relationships among his coworkers have fallen apart, their boss is stalking them, and no one can quite shake the feeling that danger is still close by. Martin's doing his best to hold everyone together, but tea and sympathy aren't working like they used to. The sole bright spot is that it's much easier to have a crush on Jon now that he's decided Martin isn't a murderer. Mostly, though, Martin's just glad to make it through the day...
...until he wakes up and has to live the same bad day all over again.
Martin finds himself caught in a loop, reliving the 19th November over and over again, struggling to understand why this is happening and what he has to do to get out. His dear coworker Sasha is acting very strange, spiders keep crawling over everything, and at the center of it all is a man with long, sharp hands, who might be to blame... or might be the key to escaping all of this.
(Or: Michael, Not-Sasha, and Annabelle have a three-sided tug-of-war over Martin's brain, while Martin hooks up with the guy who got him into this mess and keeps trying to Fifty-First-Dates his boss.)

“Vampires?” asks Will, exhaustedly.
It’s gone four in the morning, the sun just beginning to rise over the horizon, and he’s sat on a bench in a park with his best friend draped over him and a stranger leant against him because they all decided it would be a good idea to watch the sun rise. He’s really not drunk enough to be able to justify this to himself – to be able to justify any of this evening to himself – but here he is.
(In which Parvis acquires a strange man during a night out drinking with Will, and it's all downhill from there. Or uphill. Perhaps both, simultaneously. What ensues is a slow-burn story of romance, miscommunication, and unutterable stupidity.)

Summary
The Coastal Laboratory for Abnormal Wildlife Studies has found themselves in possession of a live, captive, and dangerous siren—something previously unheard of in the scientific community. Doc, one of their top researchers, is assigned leadership of the study on Specimen 9201223, later nicknamed ‘Martyn’.
Over the course of the project’s run, he and the siren develop an intense rivalry that eventually mellows into a far more complex relationship, as Doc discovers that Martyn is far more human than they’d initially assumed.
Unfortunately, the rest of the organization does not have the siren’s best interests at heart. As Doc grows closer to Martyn, he finds himself forced into increasingly-risky decisions in the name of protecting him, trying to prove his humanity to people who only see a monster.

Doc would never have considered himself a relatively profound friend of Ren’s. They were friends, for certain, but in the same way Doc would consider himself a friend of Joe’s or a friend of Scar’s. They interact. They spend time together. They sometimes collaborate on builds.
And, on occasion, Doc supposes that friendship extends to pulling the man from lava and attempting to salvage what bits of him have been destroyed and mangled from a near disastrous end of a season.
But, really, he should know the man better. He should have some sense of who Ren is, of what he needs, what he does, yet the man sat before him… He’s not certain it’s Ren at all.
And Doc doesn’t know enough to explain why…

Summary
Evil Xisuma is finally back on the server. Xisuma- his own brother- had banned him to the void for what felt like centuries. He was sure he’d gone insane long ago, nobody with a sound mind would break down crying at the sight of the night sky.
But he couldn’t rest, not yet. The void had drained almost all of his energy, and he wasn’t going to be able to fight or hide from any Hermits.
Unless he used what little strength he had left to shift into something else. A form that didn’t take so much energy to hold, but would be looked over.A flock of white cockatoos perched in the trees above caught his eye.
That could certainly work.Evil Xisuma breaks back onto Hermitcraft, and in a last ditch attempt at survival, takes the form of a bird.

Soulmate AU: Your soulmate's name is written on your wrist. Strife never had a soulmate and he liked it that way. Romance was repulsive, he was lucky to be free of any of that bullshit. Even though the people around him showed pity or sympathy for his lack of a soulmate, he was happier without it. And maybe that was why he was so close with Parv: his best friend was the same way.

“I mean, I assume that for me, it’s because I’m socially awkward and hate people,” Strife answered readily, earning a snort from his best friend. “For you, I just have to assume it’s because you’re the most obnoxious person on Minecraftia.”
“Oh, fuck you,” Parv said. There was a shuffling sound and when he glanced down, Parv was getting to his feet and walking over to Strife’s desk. He just watched him silently as he rooted through Strife’s pencil case, pulling out a highlighter. “Y’know, I reckon I don’t have a soulmate because I’d spend too much time with you instead.”
Strife grinned, feeling his cheeks warm up at Parv’s words. “Oh, really now?”
“Yeah, really, because you’re always bothering me.”
“Says the guy who crawled in through my window.”
