"Since when were you the worrier between us?" she smirked.
"Someone has to be," he mumbled.
Gentle yet rough servos cradled his faceplate, "You have an army and they are as every bit committed to you as you are to them. You can trust them to share the burden. Trust them to protect our gift."
Her derma on his was soft, warm, and electric....

In the end it hadn’t mattered what they planned to create. With basic pieces of plating and a sturdy main frame, the tiny blip of a new spark had been placed in the tactfully crafted chamber. It was much sooner than expected; sooner than they would have liked. It shouldn’t have happened at all.
Integrating, even when done properly into the correct size frame, would take time. So, they waited and waited for many earth years. His onlining ended up taking decades.
In shock and awe, they watched as the protoform took shape in his offlined state. As they added more and more the constructed frame molded itself. Audios straightened out, armor curved and warped, and before long they had a new spark in the spitting image of an Iaconian. He was the most precious thing they’d ever seen.
But then bright green- little optics flittered to life. The most innocent burning optics he had ever witnessed in all his time as a Prime stared into their own. And oh, the chirping. Confusion, distress. He was crying out like any newborn, making his presence known. And it was felt by all. Every bot had felt a wave of relief at the sudden flare of an EM field. It was tiny but complete and strong.

I love this because I understand.
They have been at war for such a long time and one day you meet this little being. He is someone who makes everyone feel like this will be better, they forget their sadness if just for a moment when he is around.
The big problem, he is fragile. He can brake with a wrong movement and will only live a speck of time compared to you.
But something happens, and with a bit of work you can make it like you. Not only that but he will be like a childe, something you have not seen for millions of years. You can keep him, you can rise him, you can continue to hear his voice, you can nurture him.
Even if optimus objected at the beginning he still convinced himself that it's justified. After all accidents happen, you are not forcing him, it will just be a way to keep him safe.
You will save him and you can KEEP HIM.
I love this because I can feel how desesperate they are, the yearning driving them to dark places.
And the worst is that I would probably do the same.
AHHHHH this has been utterly delightful. I had to reread the whole series again. I just- [heavy breathing] I LOVEEEE HOW POSSESSIVE THEY ARE OF SAAMMMM. he was theirs even before he was a sparkling. *theirs.* and I just. FERAL for it. I love the dark undertones of this. They tried to be good but they instinctively wanted to keep sam. But even good intentions have a way of being dark.
I also really enjoyed how you managed to explain a bit of Sams distance to humanity!! I hadnt even considered the lack of the other humans until you explained that it took decades for Sam to awaken. And his casual disinterest for the past too. OOOOHHH goddddd i can just imagine them all fretting and peeking into the lab for decades to watch Sam sleep. His spark so small and little as his body accepted the changes so so slowly. Godddd and the excitment when Sam finally woke up. Bee wouldve been over the MOOONNN.

The Third-In-Command of the Nemesis ship was known for his commitment to the vow of silence-- a vow he took for Cybertronians to know he was not like the other council members that were once under Zeta Prime; that he was not all-talk, and would live up to his words. He was silent, but has more voice compared to the other Decepticons; he was idle, yet his frame screamed power-- that much, bots and cons, alike, can understand.And then there was you: a talkative human, often spouting words that contradicted her own actions; saying things that were parallel to them. Or perhaps, it's not that you speak the opposite of your intentions but you often misunderstand what you want.
And then, the two opposites meet-- each distinct feature contradicting the other. One was an ancient Cybertronian, and another was a young human. One was silent; the other has words to say. One has forgotten how to feel, while the other wishes not to feel. One served only one purpose in life, and the other had none.
Be as contrasting as they may, both share a common characteristic; one they can share a mutual bond with: both are not normal in their own worlds.
The two lack humanity.
