Summary
Six years ago, vampires began taking over America.
Today, Keith is an upper level vampire commander. Due to his status, he has the privilege of keeping humans in his home, able to suck their blood at will. After he is promoted, he is given the option of a Human harem, a rotation of humans to be drained and eventually killed. Or, as luck would have it, one special human was available. A human with a blood disorder making him uniquely capable of producing red blood cells, to the point where draining him is almost impossible. Keith, harboring a secret the other vampire commanders would crucify him for, has never had much of a taste for killing people, so he opts for the one human, named Lance.
Lance, for his part, is just trying to survive, maybe get some revenge if possible. He hates vampires and the world they've created. He hates Commander Kogane as soon as he sees him, just by virtue of being a vampire. The longer he lives with Commander Kogane, however, the more confused Lance's emotions become.

After a 5-year relationship that went to shit, 3 years of radio-silence from Shiro, and an 26-hour drive across the country, Keith found himself in buttfuck, Montana.
On the plus side, he got to see Shiro again, started working at the bar downtown, and gets to see a cute boy come to the bar every Friday night. Everything's starting to go well for Keith, for the first time in a long time – but of course, nothing lasts forever.
Said bartending job brought in countless weirdos, painting had become nearly impossible, and that cute boy turned out to be in a relationship, preparing for his engagement. When Lance commissions Keith's art for his planned proposal, who is he to deny him – even if he has 5 months to figure out how to paint again while avoiding rapidly growing feelings for Lance.

Lance was starting to think there was something wrong and began to panic. However, as he realized they had been happening since last night, less time between them and hurting more each time one happened, he was rooted to his seat with a different kind of fear.

Summary
Prince Keith is the adopted brother of Lotor, prince of the Galra kingdom. He was asked to attend the diplomatic meeting with the royal family of Altea, in place of his father, since Zarkon was busy with Lotor's training. Keith was indeed happy to go there, since he had a great relationship with the family and could meet his childhood friend, prince Lance of Altea, once again. Sadly, the other male doesn't recognize him as Keith when they bump into each other but expresses his liking towards the 'stranger'
Allura and Shiro, queen and king of Altea, had to come to a decision, which wasn't very much to their liking. Enemies from oversea were threatening the kingdom and their only opportunity to prevent a war was the marriage of their son, Lance. Therefore, they thought marrying him to a prince of the chummy kingdom of the Galra would work best. Sure, they had promised Lance to be allowed to choose his husband or wife himself but the situation wasn't leaving any space for freedom...
As Lance recognizes that Keith is the hot guy he met before, he isn't as averse to marry as before, if there wasn't Lotor, the planned new heir of the Galra...

Summary
Keith Kogane was troublesome. Even though the teenager had a great mind, his fighting record and emo tendencies kept other people at bay. They didn't even bother to get to know his soul and reasonings.
Between his policeman adoptive brother finally going back to the field after losing his arm, a charming and annoying rival teasing him nonstop, and control slipping off his fingers, getting bitten by a weird spider was the last thing Keith needed.

Lance is trying to find some solid ground. On the eve of TLD's first European Tour, Lance pulls Keith into a game of Truth or Dare to blow of some steam. Instead he accidently opens a whole new can of worms. Lance grapples with his feelings for his bandmate, while Keith considers leaving on tour with another band. Meanwhile Hunk wants to start a restaurant, Allura has to do quarterly reports, Pidge is starting a tech company, Shiro is getting married and Coran is driving the tour bus.
