Steve Rogers has a lot going on in his life. He's getting divorced, he's looking after someone else's kid and his own, and now he's taking being a sponsor and therapy recovery to a whole new level.
James Barnes has suffered from addiction for years. As hard as he tries to shake it--nothing sticks. Then he meets Steve, his kids, and his roommate.
[Excerpt]:
"Can you move your seat up?"
His balls are getting crushed by the pants he's wearing and the fact that he has to practically hug his legs to fit into this back seat isn't helping. And there's just random shit shoved everywhere--into every conceivable crevice of this car. Some of the items are sticking up at weird angles. It's mostly clothes (he thinks) and household items. A 2006 Volkswagen does not, in fact, have enough room for a man of his build or stature plus fifteen feet of crap.

"I said 'nah, all good' but he kept insisting and then he got fucking aggressive, starting shouting and shit. Got out of the car and--" Hussein gestured to his side.
Lesley blew out a breath and, struggling not to sound exasperated, said, "That's it? That's all you remember then?"

This is a take on Thor and Loki based more on the original comic book run created by Stan Lee in 1987. It also takes inspiration from the movies, but is mostly based on the 87 comic book.
It is not needed to know the comic book to understand the story.
Doctor Donald Blake is a man without a past, he has no memory that goes further back then fifteen years.
In the night he starts to having odd dreams, like forgotten memories. But they are of god's fighting, where he himself seems to be some sort of god.
A silver hammer hidden in Norway seems to be calling to him, and a devious god of Mischief seems eager to break free of his cage as Donald Blake slowly must uncover his true identity and become a god ones more.Series
