Summary

We know that Adolin Kholin was the well-loved son of the Blackthorn, Dalinar Kholin, who knows his way with a sword, struggled with the wake of a dead mother, struggled in finding his place in the world, and loved fiercely.
What if....their lives, were interchanged?
What if Kaladin was the prince, the son of Dalinar Kholin? What if Adolin trained to be a surgeon and then had a life of peace stolen from him?

So Kaladin has to find another way out of choosing between anti-light poisoning or exsanguination.OR

He would later reflect that boring his eyes into his friend's does not convey to that friend that things are going smoothly, and that any attempt to divert their attention will certainly fail when both hands are needed to cover trousers that are tented like an Azish marquee. "I'm fine."

As Kaladin's health gradually improves, an appetite that the wretch supressed starts to introduce itself. Kaladin can't keep up with it, so he appeals to Adolin for advice. After leaving Drehy's engagement party, he discovers something else.

When Navani discovered she’d misplaced one of her experimental fabrials related to changing form she immediately initiated a search. But it was nowhere to be found within the tower. Even the sibling couldn’t locate it.
Turns out Adolin had found it on his way to a meeting with Dalinar. He intended to return it to Navani but his father ordered him to leave immediately to investigate movement on the outskirts of the Plains. So it was safely tucked away in one of Adolin’s pockets as he soared through the sky alongside Kaladin, while a storm was forming on the horizon.-
