Achronological Gingko Guild AU with an OC that is not only absolutely a descendant of Volo's, but basically a whole lot of Volo and Cynthia traits turned up to 11 and wrapped into a slightly unhinged but adorable pokemon-adoring package. It's going to basically follow the plot of Legends Arceus with a few twists, turns, and other devices to make up for the fact that the focus is not on the Survey Corps, but the merchants. Lots of worldbuilding.
TLDR, Volo gets pestered to hell and back, somehow, capitalism saves the day!Inspired by this adorable image!

A narrated playthrough of National France using the Kaiserreich alt history mod for Darkest Hour. In the aftermath of the victory of the German Reich in the first world war, the legitimate government of France fled a mainland gripped by military mutiny and Marxist revolution, establishing a government-in-exile in Algiers. Now fifteen years on, the increasingly-authoritarian government of national unity led by Philippe Pétain is an ailing behemoth that has made little progress towards returning home. Someone must stand forth, must do more than merely spout empty promises; France needs a leader, someone who can unite the exiles behind the dream of reclaiming the Patrie. The question is not whether a man will stand and be recognized as France's savior in her moment of greatest desperation, but whom that man shall be.

"Impossible", know that anything that happened to me was not normal..., but maybe from the beginning... in short, I found myself in the body of a boy who was drifting on the sea, holding on to a board... was that my beginning? Wonderful, huh? Coming back, of course I tried to treat it as a dream, or a nightmare, but it wasn't, when I was out of breath and tried not to get swallowed up by the depths. I swam with my legs, looking for a place, land... and it was a real storm... I finally found something, I noticed something in the distance... I swam away, happy... it was a tower... a city... no, no, impossible... is that... Piltover?! What the hell, I found myself in League of Legends Arcane!? Oh... we're screwed..., but first I'll swim to land and think what to do next.
