Shiro isn’t even bothering to hide his smirk, the rat bastard. “You two are the only viable and believable option, and you know the Colern’e will only speak to couples.”
Lance finally decides to take pity on Keith’s poor ass and speaks up. “Okay, but to Keith’s point, why us specifically?”
Shiro smiles serenely at Lance (who Shiro’s been calling his brother-in-law simply because it drives Keith insane and he is, as previously mentioned, a rat bastard). “Pidge is not playing couple with anyone. You and Hunk can’t go, because you’d laugh the whole time —“ point, unfortunately — “Allura doesn’t want to do it, and I am simply retired and don’t have to.”

The one where you lied and said you didn’t want to be stuck for eternity with me.” Lance purposely cut the black paladin off, batting his eyelashes excessively while Keith locked up, looking embarrassed.

Summary
Smiling sympathetically, Lance just rubbed his sweetheart’s back and kissed the top of his head. "I'm sorry, baby... I know it hurts," He whispered, intertwining their legs together. They were cuddling together in Keith's bed, various stuffed animals surrounding them on the red sheets. The environment was a cozy place for Keith to feel a little comforted.
All the other could do in return was pathetically sniffle and bury himself further into Lance's dark blue hoodie. It smelt like eucalyptus and cherry blossom, and that made him feel a little better. Lance holding him during his periods always made him feel better. Another pang went through his stomach, and he whimpered.

Keith held onto his arm a bit tighter and leaned into the kisses. Lance talked a lot, but he was a great listener when he needed to be. “It doesn’t... and it’s embarrassing...” The vulnerability was too, but he really felt like he could trust Lance with this.
