Summary
Mobius, the planet that Sonic and his friends call home, is merely one of infinite Mobius across many different timelines, zones, and dimensions alike. Some zones vary in the personalities the residents carry, some in the events that transpire, and in many, both are true.
Ixis Exeus' Mobius is a zone that takes place 6 years into the future when compared to Mobius Prime. Perhaps time is dilated, perhaps when the multiverse was created, this one came a little earlier than others. A Demon has taken possession of Sonic's body, and across those 6 years, thousands have lost their lives. He is known as X, short for his true title of Ixis Exeus. A final curse of the Order of Ixis' old-guard before they formed into the magician known as Naugus. The freedom fighters have done what they always have- resisted tyranny. Teaming up with Robotnik, they battle against demonic forces knowing that survival is never guaranteed.

Doctor Jonathan Reid liked to think he was a helpful person; assisting the needy was, after all, one of the reasons he'd chosen to study medicine. However, as he stood over McCullum's badly wounded body, while facing off with two Ekon, he thought dimly that maybe he was in over his head. There was little time for introspection however, with one of the Ekon lunging at the surgeon while the other circled back, looking for an opening to strike.
