Link held his free hand flat with fingers straightened and tapped his thumb to his sternum twice. 'It's fine.'
Sidon's hand rotated under Link's, his long fingers curling around and squeezing his hand endearingly. He knows they can't put it off forever.

In an age of great healing across Hyrule, they are content. King Sidon has taken quickly to his new responsibilities, and Link is balancing his regular duties as Zelda's knight and companion, aware his time in Central Hyrule is limited.
The wedding has come up before and they've tried redirecting the topic time and time again, expressing they are in no hurry. When the topic is broached once again, Link suspects an unspoken urgency — after all, a Hylian life lasts only a fraction of the average Zora.

This fic is a collection of short stories, with each story focusing on a meaningful interaction between Link and a particular inhabitant of Hyrule, with said interactions having a profound impact on his life, in some way shape or form, either through a hard lesson learned, a reminder that he matters, or he's worth more than just his title.

Summary
The war has ended Link has helped as many people as he could. The Calamity is gone, the Champions now resurrected, Link is implored by Zelda to return as her General and Head Swordsman. Link decides instead to go back to his home outside of Hateo Village and rest. Countless night terrors of The Calamity returning has reduced Link to a walking corpse. Bolson and Karson begin to notice his increase reclusivity and come in to intervene. They persuade him to go where he can calm his mind to at least help with the screaming at night. Link gives in and settles on the one place he always feels welcome and supported, Zora's Domain.

Link has nightmares and bad thought are caused by his sleepless frights. The guilt is too much to bear, the champions are gone and all that remains is a knight who failed everyone.
At least, that's what his thoughts say every time he closes his eyes. It doesn't help that he hasn't slept in days, it doesn't help when he suffers hallucinations and sees the fallen champions, it doesn't help that the thoughts, and the voices blame him for their deaths.
Does it help that the champion he thought hated him is comforting him and protecting him from listening to the voices?
