Well, yes another one with time travel. I decided to do one myself after reading a lot of them and have not yet encountered one like I hope to create (up until now) something different. Not much more for the summary, as I am decidedly not good at writing such things.

Doing over is something people probably are glad about. At least the first time. Reliving your life countless times on the other hand chips away at your sanity, as Cloud would attest.

Summary
As the world collapses around her, a version of Aerith who does not come into contact with Cloud Strife instead encounters another man. A man from another world, who will eventually find out the terrible fate that awaits her, and will bend the laws of time, space and destiny to try and save her life.
This is a FF VII X Doctor Who project that crept into my mind that follows Aerith's travels with a depressed 11th Doctor. This follows a lot of the "destiny" related concepts that exist in both series and is honestly just an excuse to see some of these characters vibe together.

He hasn't touched Cloud for a long time. He's not really sure how long-- Days, months-- He prays to God it hasn't been years, because everything's been dragging on for so long, Hojo and mako and needles sliding under his skin. And he really doesn't want to think it's been years, because if it has--
But it's easier to just reach in and grab Cloud, his fingers sliding over Cloud's skin. Cloud falls out of tube, heavy and limp in Zack's arms, and Zack tries to hold on as he stumbles back, slipping in the mako on the floor. They end up in a heap, Zack curling his arms around Cloud's head, and he just lies there for a few minutes, breathing, and feeling Cloud breathe on top of him.

Everything was blurry. He tried to blink but his eyes didn’t want to see. The world was almost too bright for him to handle.

His body was heavy, drowsy, as if he had slept for far too long. How long was he asleep for? He could barely feel the hard pelt of rain on his skin as he wiggled his fingers, and then his toes. He couldn’t even see past the blurriness that seemed to be a permanent part of his eyesight.
“Cloud… please.”
