Peeta, on the other hand, seemed rather unaffected. She bit back the pang of jealousy, the thought that he had come away from this unharmed was foolish. She had to chastise herself, Peeta was always the better of the two at masking. It was how he had become a fan favourite in the eyes of the Capitol. Fake smiles, cheesy one-liners and persuasive tones. She knew, even if Peeta acted okay, that there had to be something deeper. No one, not even the strongest-willed people, could go through what he had and come through unscathed. She hoped that if she waited he would maybe open up. Eventually, the act would have to crack.
It did, as she had suspected.

A series of disconnected drabbles(?) featuring autistic characters written by me, an autistic person.
These stories will largely follow their original canon, as I am neither an especially creative writer nor does highlighting these characters' autistic traits make it an AU. This means that these stories will feature expanded scenes, missing scenes, or the daily life of the characters in question.
From my perspective, when I read or watch these characters, I am seeing autistic characters. I am seeing not only myself but my friends and family as well. Autism is an incredibly broad spectrum, so I can only write from my own personal (and limited) experience. If I do get anything drastically wrong, please do tell me and I will try to correct it. Additionally, I would be happy to highlight autistic traits and experiences that I don't have experience with the help of a co-writer or beta who does.
None of these stories will feature death, violence, or sex - I find these incredibly difficult to write. These topics will only be alluded to (if they are even mentioned at all).
