Summary
Sans has finally managed to fix the reset issue. It only required the deletion of a vital character. The barrier is broken, and time finally begins to move again. Recovery is slow, but Sans finds solace in his dreams. By the time he realizes his dreams of other universes are real, he has already grown attached to their residents. And then he's attacked at home and is thrust into the multiverse proper. He finds things very different from how he expected. His old friends don't recognize him, and some of them appear suspiciously older.
It doesn't take long before Sans starts to suspect that he may have a larger role in the multiverse than he predicted.
I wanted more Classic adventures through the multiverse, so here's my contribution. And cause I'm me, I can't help but try to make a saga out of it.

Horrortale Sans is stuck in an Underground where the only source of magic is dust.
Empress Undyne died long ago, having been eaten alive by her ravenous subjects. No ruler had dared claim the throne since, for they too would be eaten.
Sans's magic now runs red with Determination and it's the only thing keeping him together. Constantly bombarded with painful memories of the past, Sans does his best to reinvent himself.
- This Horrortale AU will eventually cross over into the canon Undertale AU.

Sans hid so many things from everyone around him. He had gotten used to having the RESETs to undo it when he slipped up, but Frisk had stopped resetting, and that meant that if Sans happened to slip up, he had to face actual consequences.
Like, for example, accidentally admitting his jacket was from a family member while his little brother was in the room under the impression that they only family they had were each other.
TL;DR, Sans fucks up and Papyrus wants answers.

Hopes, Dreams, and DETERMINATION is a mild AU of Undertale where Frisk has a little sister and Chara and Asriel were friends with Sans and Undyne before they died. This causes changes in this Undertale Universe as a whole, and Frisk does not have to go through her journey alone.
