Summary
The king has fallen.
In the devastation left in the human's wake, a new king is needed. Papyrus steps up to the challenge, assisted by his brother.
Sans is sworn to obey the crown, bound by the Delta Rune. Regardless of who wears it.
But when dark alternates show up and threaten war, Papyrus has to make the hardest decision of his life, and Sans finds out the chains that bind him might not be as secure as he'd like.

Sans couldn’t live with himself after what happened to you, going near insane after you’re gone. So behind the others back he uses the machine to undo what he did, except it didn’t. He can still feel his sins crawling on his back.
Oh well, it’ll all be worth it once he has you back in his cold hands again. Screw the other skeletons.

Summary
Once upon a time many centuries ago, the world was ruled by two species: Humans and Monsters. Both of these creatures thrived together using their special talents to help one another. That was until the humans declared war on the monsters out of the blue. This led to the monsters to be banished beneath a mountain.
But rest well when I say the humans suffered their karma. Without monsters they soon lost their magic, along with their way of life. They developed their own powers called quirks, with this power came the raise of heroes and villains. Quirks were quick to spread until only 20% lacked them.
It wasn’t long before magic and monsters were reduced to legend. This led many to climb the mountain to see if the legends were true, only to never return. This was because of the heartbroken monster king who put a bounty on every human who fell.
When the last human fell, the monsters were ecstatic. Finally they’ll be free to wander the surface and feel the sun and the rain again! But unbeknownst to them, they have become even more trapped than they had before. With each reset the monsters were forced to live the same day over and over without anyone knowing ... .Well, almost everyone.

There was no way out of this place. Sans knew that from the depths of his soul- he couldn't escape on his own. But without any way to contact anyone and no knowledge of where he's trapped, all he could do was try to survive... or maybe just hope for death.

Summary
Papyrus knows about the resets, and so does Sans. But neither of them know that the other does. They spend all their time making sure that the other is never aware of the timelines or their knowledge of it, which leads to whacky shenanigans and catastrophic mental health issues.

Summary
Sans does not cave under the knowledge, the burden of knowing that everything could be torn away from them like a stuffed doll from a child. Sure, he's been practically nicknamed lazybones and his breaks are many with few work-related progress in between; but he manages to scrounge up enough cash to pay for rent and attends to his post every so often just to appease his brother. He doesn't quite give in, and he's DETERMINED to never do so, as long as Papyrus is here. Resets are actually a relief, strangled and corrupted they may be, once he's gone. Even if he'll just be cut down again eventually.
Of course, regardless of his not-quite-steel resolve Sans has his bad days.

Well except for the nightmares and the weird shadows he has been seeing around the kid and that flower that is. With all this nausea he doesn't think he can 'stomach' this all-!
