Summary
A lot of people think they know what a hero is supposed to be, a perfect paragon of purity and kindness that can do no wrong. In actuality, that couldn't be further from the truth. The many heroes that have inhabited the land over Hyrule's long history were not perfect saviors sent from the heavens themselves. Even the Heroes of Courage, sent by Hylia herself, could never begin to reach anything resembling the perfect ideal of a hero. That doesn't mean they're not heroes or unworthy of their titles, they just do things a little differently from each other.
Not even heroes can agree on what a hero is supposed to be.
