After the death of his wife, Arthur Pendragon wants to give his three kids a fresh start in a new place and a new home. He buys a historic Victorian Home and soon learns that all is not as it seems. When the strange neighbor kid tells him the house is haunted he wants to deny it, but after seeing unexplainable paranormal activity he accepts Merlin's offer to help him cleanse the home and save his family from the darkness that permeates the old house. They end up getting assistance from both sides of the veil and when it is all over they find something in each other that gives them both hope.

He never planned to stay for too long before moving on, least of all in the capital of this kingdom, but he gets a job as a physician's assistant, forms some friendships and can't seem to permanently distance himself from a certain prince who keeps getting in trouble.
