He'd come to terms with that while he lived L'Manburg. One less thing to worry about. It was better to focus on making sure his nation wouldn't be destroyed than one some silly nightmare.
But when he's in the snow with just the clouds above him and ice, maybe his mind can finally rest easier.

Ranboo plunged into the cold water, letting it wrap around him as he swam towards his room of obsidian, his Panic Room. It felt like it was hugging him lightly, the only substance that actually would hug someone like him, and it wasn't even living.
As he landed on the black blocks of his safe haven, he looked at the signs upon the wall. He didn't know whether to burst into tears or scoff.
He looked at one of the signs on the wall and almost panicked at his own untidy handwriting, reminding him of something that he would always fear he had disobeyed.

Summary
In a post-apocalyptic future of worlds plagued by monstrosities and mutations, the dwindling population of humanity has adapted and evolved. Some became gods, some monsters, some a mix of both.
Dream, a godling of an ender god, has made so many sacrifices for his power that he's found himself with nothing left to lose. It is then that he turns to Tommy in an attempt to twist the boy into something like his own image.
Ranboo, a half-breed of dubious origins is just trying to keep the people he cares about from killing one another.
Philza, an ancient survivor gifted with divine rights, refuses to let another one of his boys get twisted by the masked monster and will fight with all his life to keep him safe.
Technoblade just wants a nice retirement, but apparently, that's too much to ask for.
As opposing forces clash to decide Tommy's fate, a creeper hybrid falls influence to an oath of his own creation. A baker's heart grows cold. A Vice President tries to ignore his second heartbeat. A boy misses his friend. A ghost wanders.
A cluster of vines spreads its influence, unable to be contained.
A god watches and sighs as the world she's called home is torn apart.

Summary
Ranboo joined the Dream SMP with only an inkling of how he got there. His poor memory had left him with but a few fragments. Initially finding it disorienting to not know his own origins, Ranboo manages to establish himself on the SMP without ever needing to worry about who he might be.
Meanwhile, Dream is perplexed by the hybrid. He knew something was different about him. There were those two contrasting sides, but there was also something else. Something that he could find familiarity in. Dream explores his connection with the half-enderman and what his existence meant for the world.
As he continues with his story, Ranboo finds himself closer and closer to unlocking his past, the future of what’s to come, and what his role is in the present. His physical division of two different sides and gaps in his memory also comes to light. Unfortunately for him, things may end up more complicated than it seems. The fate of the world is not a bright one and he had to stop it.

'He knew the cold and the snow was dangerous for him, and the suit jacket was clearly not enough to shield him from the potential threat of hypothermia, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. (What that one meant, he was in no mood to think about.) He knew he should go back inside, but the winter landscape and the fresh feeling in his lungs was too beautiful to desert. Deciding to ignore the burning, he grabbed a handful of snow and pressed it against his warm forehead, hoping to ease the pain. The melted snow trickled down his eyelids and face, but Ranboo’s limbs felt way too weak to wipe it off.
He shut his eyes, trying, hoping, praying to forget everything that had happened, but the more he thought about it, the harder it was for his brain to let go.'

After Tubbo's experimentations, Ranboo suffers from both physical and mental anguish, and doesn't think through the solution. Philza and Technoblade are there to catch him, but the problem isn't as easy to solve as they would have first thought. Ranboo faces the memories he had buried, Phil tries to be there for someone for once, and Technoblade has a lot of pent-up anger. Will Dream finally get what's coming to him?

Ranboo has come to what he believes is the truth: He's a bad person, deserving of the guilt he feels. His mind has convinced him of that, but thanks to this, those closest to him are more distant than ever. Perhaps a bit of outside intervention is necessary.
