Summary
Three kings: Three invitations. Kurama’s and Hiei’s acceptance of their personal summons marked a period of division between the demon partners and their closest allies. But, what if Hiei had rejected Mukuro’s offer and joined Kurama in Yomi’s kingdom instead? His decision will make things both much easier and much more complicated, and might just change the nature of his partnership with Kurama completely.

“Neither is Yomi,” Hiei pointed out, leaning back on the futon and watching Kurama as he checked the window through half lidded eyes. “I doubt he is as prepared to deal with you as he thinks he is. And he’s not prepared for me.”

"You know," Kurama said quietly, "I almost went along with your plan. Part of me wanted it so badly. I could have used the Forlorn Hope to transform myself back to my true form. Cast off this skin like old clothes."
Hiei's eyes narrowed further. "And then what? Would you have tried to kill me? Because you would be in for a rude awakening."
Kurama snorted. "No, Hiei, I wouldn't have killed you. Honestly, you're so quick to jump to violence as the first solution when there are many other ways to spend our time."
Hiei said nothing for a long moment, and Kurama realized the innuendo had genuinely gone over his head. It was almost endearing.
"I'm saying I would have fucked you again, Hiei. I may not have thrown in my lot all the way with yours, but we could have had a good time."
(AKA Five times Hiei and Kurama didn't talk about their feelings and one time they did.)

Summary
After Kurama's previous life came to an end, Hiei thought he would have to learn to live without him.
It turns out that Kurama came back, but Hiei has to learn how to live with him as a fox until he regains his youki and demon form.
A century can be quite short when spent in the company and service of someone you love. But that doesn't mean it will be easy for either of them.

Summary
Two years ago, Kurama inadvertently broke Hiei's heart when he had jokingly told him he wasn't interested in him. After trying and failing to move on with Mukuro, Hiei is back in ningenkai after a messy breakup. And his feelings for Kurama have never faded.
Kurama agrees to let Hiei stay with him in light of his breakup, and he has no intention of letting Hiei slip through his fingers again. He slowly integrates Hiei more and more into human life, hoping he can convince him to stay.
[Takes place almost directly after the last episode of the anime, two years after Hiei and Kurama had parted ways at the end of the tournament.
